In order to cope with the death of his beloved sister, he dived into the game for seven long years. During this period, Rhode tries his best to alleviate his emotional pain through gaming, but alas, his life shatters once more when he heard his parents perish in a plane crash.

A month after the incident, he made a decision to quit the game and return to the real world. But just before that, as a final farewell, Rhode decides to fight the most powerful BOSS in the game with his guildmates. In the end, he defeats the BOSS at the expense of his avatar's life. Rhode smiles as his avatar dissipates in a beam of light. However, instead of respawning at the usual platform...

The large conference room was full of people. Not only were Anne, Marlene, Lize, Lapis, and Orchid Heart here, but Canary, Mini Bubble Gum, and Icy Snow were also present. It was quite lively having this bunch of young ladies getting together in a huddle. It wasn't surprising since they were always like a family.

Since the invasion of Chaos, they had been sent to various fronts. Apart from feeling tremendous pressure, they also felt rather lonely with most of the people they knew dead. It was especially so the real Canary and Mini Bubble Gum. After all, unlike their projection, they never experienced a war of such scale. The days of fighting Chaos were a huge test for them and a day dragged on like a year.

Thankfully, Rhode had the foresight to let Erin and Lydia watch over the two of them. Erin and Lydia were thoughtful and comforting. Under their care, Canary and Mini Bubble Gum didn't suffer from any war-related trauma… Or perhaps not yet.
