Time seemed to pass extremely slowly in the long and dark night. Three of them were lying on the grass waiting quietly. Han Jin had refused the unreasonable demands of Moxinke, and Sunier would never agree with such a bad idea of seducing the guards. Therefore, the only thing that they could do now was to wait for an opportunity.
In fact, Han Jin had hundreds of ways to get rid of the guards which would allow him to put Taoism to good use. However, without any energy, everything was just empty talk.
"Alas... I wish a thief would come," Moxinke exclaimed in a whisper.
"Moxinke, you have said this at least ten times. Could you please stop acting like a woman?!" Han Jin rebuked impatiently.
"Like a woman? What's wrong with a woman?" Sunier interjected.
"No… nothing..."
Moxinke tittered with his hand covering his mouth to avoid any loud sounds which may attract the guards, but it made Han Jin enraged, "Moxinke, we are in the middle of a major thing. Could you at least be a little more serious ?!"
"It's not as major as you think..." Moxinke sighed, "It's most likely that we will wait in vain all night and return empty-handed."
As they were talking, two of the guards left the gate and walked along the wall to the corner. Moments later, their figures disappeared into the bushes.
Han Jin immediately cast a glance at Sunier. After listening to them carefully for a moment, Sunier nodded her head indicating that she was confident that she could kill the remaining two guards without causing a scene.
Then, Han Jin and Moxinke crawled in the direction which the two guards who had left the gate had gone. When everything was in place, Sunier propped up her body silently and pulled her longbow.
An arrow shot through one side of the guard's temple from the left, flew out to the wall and firmly nailed the guard on the wall. Upon hearing the commotion, the other guard turned around immediately, but just as he was about to shout after seeing the miserable scene, another arrow shot through his throat fiercely and swiftly. His upper body was pulled backward by the strength of the arrow, with his upper jaw and hindbrain both shot through. The guard was nailed on the ground and his body curled into the shape of an arch. His legs kicked around aimlessly several times before he was finally motionless.
At the same time, the two guards who went for a toilet break came back happily talking and laughing. As they were turning around the corner, Moxinke sneaked from their backside and stabbed one of the guard's necks with his longsword streaking across the dark night like lightning. Though he couldn't release his fighting spirit, his speed of killing the latter guard was still agile and fast. The guard's body promptly stiffened with his head cut off by Moxinke's giant sword. Blood sprayed out from his neck like a fountain.
Then, Han Jin pounced upon the other guard with a longsword in his hand. But his opponent had already turned back with a sword in his right hand. However, before he realized what had happened, a bloody hole appeared between the guard's eyebrows, and blood splattered directly across Han Jin's face.
Han Jin was a clean man. Though only one side of his face was spattered with blood, he still felt very uncomfortable. He wiped his face forcibly but it only made the blood smell even stronger.
"Hey... you look more handsome now. I like it," Moxinke joked.
Han Jin was expressionless. How could the big guy laugh under such circumstances? The blood was mixed with brain remains... It was better not to think about it!
Sunier jumped in front of the gate of the courtyard after several leaps and stared at Han Jin. Her expression was calm and cold, showing no signs of what she was thinking at all. Maybe she was still angry about Han Jin's disdain of 'women', or maybe she was just too concentrated on killing her enemies to notice the calico-like face of Han Jin.
"Are you done laughing?" Han Jin said coldly.
"Yes, yes, let's go in." Moxinke nodded.
Han Jin slowly walked over and patted Moxinke on the shoulder. The moment Moxinke turned around, Han Jin raised his arm and wiped Moxinke's face with his bloody hand and strode forward complacently.
"What are you doing?" Moxinke growled angrily. They were not professional killers. Accurately speaking, they were like a flock of sheep without a shepherd, no discipline nor rules. But in spite of their naughty behaviors, they firmly kept the mission in their minds. They knew that if any of them made a noise, everyone in the courtyard would be woken up.
"Nothing, just comforting myself. I feel much better now," as Han Jin replied, his eyes were squinting at Sunier, as if saying, "Girl, wait and see!"
Moxinke followed Han Jin spitefully. He found no fault of Han Jin for the time being just as Han Jin couldn't find that of Sunier's. They could only wait and bear this in mind.
Things were clear thereafter. George had never thought that anyone would dare touch the ass of a tiger. After all, his son-in-law was the mayor of the Eleventh Town and a high-grade fighter. Who would dare provoke him? What's more, he knew people very well and would never offend a powerful person. Those bullied by him were usually ordinary civilians without a patron.
When Han Jin and the others went into the bedroom after knocking out four maidservants, George was still sleeping soundly with a woman aged twenty or so in his arms. It would be dawn soon and they did not have much time left, thus, Han Jin's actions became rough. He slapped the face of the woman several times to wake her up and immediately struck her on the neck the moment she opened her eyes. From a physiological standpoint, one could be knocked out while asleep, but Han Jin felt that it was more assuring to see his target go into a coma with his own eyes.
Water was then poured on George's head. He opened his eyes lazily, but when he saw the shining sword in front of him, his face turned pale immediately. Waking up from his nice dream only to see two murderers in his chamber with sharp weapons scared him out of his wits. What was more terrible though, was the blood that was on the face of the two murderers.
"My lord..." George said with a shiver.
"We are running out of money and would like to borrow some from you," Han Jin said directly with a scampish tone.
"I have… I have..." George nodded his head in a rush and pointed at the cabinet beside the bed.
Moxinke poured the things inside the cabinet onto the bed without saying a word. Most of them were women's jewelry.
"That's not enough," Han Jin said coldly.
"My... my lord... I lost most of my fortune in my last business deal and these..."
Han Jin looked down and stared at George's middle finger and saw that there was a quaint ring on it. George's expression changed dramatically. He smiled to them fawningly and pulling down his sleeves subconsciously, attempting to hide his hand.
Unfortunately, his attempt reminded Han Jin of Sunier's ring. He grabbed the sheets, cut off a strip of it and said, "Stuff this into your mouth!"
