He was penniless and unable to advance in life; a situation he was forced into by the enemy of his father. If it weren’t for the little money he made by selling off items in Conviction, he would’ve barely been able to eat. In the end, he chose to settle his matters once and for all. He assassinated his father’s enemy. He lay dying shortly after being shot in the pursuit.

However, that wasn’t the end of his story. Instead, he awoke moments later to find that he had reincarnated into his past-self. Armed with his experience and knowledge of future events, he sets out to live his life anew.

About ten minutes later, Nie Yan arrived at a rather secluded area.


Here, a few dilapidated houses were irregularly strewn, swaying in the wind as if they were about to collapse, with narrow pathways and sewage flowing between them. This was clearly a poverty-stricken district.


As the wind blew, waves of putrid stench drifted by from time to time, nauseating—it was the smell of rotting corpses.


Nie Yan saw several monster corpses piled up outside a few residential houses, where residents of Calore City dressed in tattered clothes were skinning the beasts. The scene was somewhat bloody.


Following the map given by Physician Blevins, after crossing through narrow lanes, Nie Yan saw in the distance a run-down shop standing in the middle of an open area, with a ruined signboard that read in the common language: Ignace's Leather Goods Store.


Seeing the shop opposite, Nie Yan revealed an excited expression.
