If it weren’t for the little money he made by selling off items in Conviction, he would’ve barely been able to eat. In the end, he chose to settle his matters once and for all. He assassinated his father’s enemy. He lay dying shortly after being shot in the pursuit.

However, that wasn’t the end of his story. Instead, he awoke moments later to find that he had reincarnated into his past-self. Armed with his experience and knowledge of future events, he sets out to live his life anew.

Nie Yan walked out of the Templar with the Javelin Launcher and chose a Gem of Darkness and a Silver-Gray Gemstone from among the many gemstones. Although the Silver-Gray Gemstone did not have as strong properties as the Gem of Darkness, it also had the attribute of reducing the requirements, which would decrease the equipment level requirement by 10 after being embedded.


After scooping up the treasure chest, the gems Nie Yan had on hand varied widely, with all sorts of properties available. Although gems that reduced requirements were rare, they were certainly not nonexistent.


Nie Yan took these two gemstones to the Master Gemcrafter, Peijite, who embedded them for him. The previously mundane Javelin Launcher now boasted some distinctive embellishments. The two gemstones competed for attention, emitting a bright and dazzling light, making it look somewhat unique.
