In a remote jungle nestled between Chu City and Whitewater City within the Da  Xuan Country, a thin and frail figure was leaning against a thick tree trunk.  Both of his legs were spread apart in a relaxed manner. 

This figure belonged to a thirteen or fourteen-year-old teenager. 

Aside from his unusually pale face, the boy had fairly common facial features.  His clothes were loose-fitting and a bright shining steel sword was carelessly thrown by his side.

"Junior Brother Bai, I know that your spiritual power is much stronger than that of ordinary people, but have you sensed anything from those Huayi Sect disciples?" Jialan asked with furrowed brows, her question seemingly out of the blue.


"Did Senior Sister discover something? I haven't sensed anything unusual on my end," Liu Ming replied, a hint of surprise in his tone.


"Maybe it was just my imagination. However, when we enter the secret realm, you should be extra cautious if you encounter Huayi Sect disciples. It seems that someone among them is immune to the effects of my Nightmare Body and can even suppress it. They must also possess powerful spiritual strength," Jialan finally said after her expression changed several times.


"There is such a disciple in the Huayi Sect!" Upon hearing this, Liu Ming involuntarily glanced towards that side's floating reefs but, unfortunately, they were too far away, and he could only make out some blurry figures without seeing anything clearly.
