In a remote jungle nestled between Chu City and Whitewater City within the Da  Xuan Country, a thin and frail figure was leaning against a thick tree trunk.  Both of his legs were spread apart in a relaxed manner. 

This figure belonged to a thirteen or fourteen-year-old teenager. 

Aside from his unusually pale face, the boy had fairly common facial features.  His clothes were loose-fitting and a bright shining steel sword was carelessly thrown by his side.

"If there was a late-stage spiritual disciple involved, then it surely must be a Black Spirit Messenger. Did that person perish in a self-destruction before their demise?" Hu Chunniang said with a cold snort.


"Indeed, they died in a self-explosion! But what's so peculiar about these Black Spirit Messengers?" Liu Ming asked with a slight shift in his expression.


"I'm not too clear on the details, but I do know that all dozen or so Black Spirit Messengers from the Black Spirit Society are late-stage spiritual disciples and they all self-destruct to take out powerful enemies when they're unable to defeat them. However, not long after, similar coded Black Spirit Messengers reappear in the society," the young woman said somberly.


"There's such a sinister affair?" Liu Ming was startled by her words.
