In a remote jungle nestled between Chu City and Whitewater City within the Da  Xuan Country, a thin and frail figure was leaning against a thick tree trunk.  Both of his legs were spread apart in a relaxed manner. 

This figure belonged to a thirteen or fourteen-year-old teenager. 

Aside from his unusually pale face, the boy had fairly common facial features.  His clothes were loose-fitting and a bright shining steel sword was carelessly thrown by his side. 

Demon's Diary

Just as a hint of surprise appeared on Liu Ming's face, a faint male voice suddenly reached his ears.


"Which lineage's disciple are you, and do you have a token to enter the Spiritual Pool? If not, go back the way you came!"


Liu Ming's heart chilled upon hearing this. But he immediately bowed and replied:


"Liu Ming, a disciple under the Jiuying Mountain lineage, greets the senior. The disciple plans to enter the Spiritual Pool for one month, and I have already brought the opening token with me."


After he finished speaking, he immediately took out a pale silver token from his bosom and held it up with both hands.


"Oh, since you have the opening token, naturally you can stay. However, I need to check it for authenticity before taking you to the location of the Spiritual Pool," the man said with a calmer voice.


Following that, "thump thump" footsteps came from the stairway entrance, and a man in a white scholar's robe walked down calmly from the second floor.
