In a remote jungle nestled between Chu City and Whitewater City within the Da  Xuan Country, a thin and frail figure was leaning against a thick tree trunk.  Both of his legs were spread apart in a relaxed manner. 

This figure belonged to a thirteen or fourteen-year-old teenager. 

Aside from his unusually pale face, the boy had fairly common facial features.  His clothes were loose-fitting and a bright shining steel sword was carelessly thrown by his side.

"Oh, Nephew Liu, are you aware that, shortly after you witnessed the Shadow Reflection Wall that night, it ceased to emit the slightest hint of anomalies?" Uncle Master Yan said slowly, staring at Liu Ming.


"This nephew really has no idea. But when this disciple left that day, the wall was still normal," Liu Ming replied, blinking his eyes.


"Hmm, indeed I have heard such from the servants. It seems that this matter should have little to do with you, most likely because the energies within the Shadow Reflection Wall exhausted over the years. It's such a pity, it seems that our sect is still fated to miss out on the direct lineage of the Ancestor Liu Yin!" Upon hearing this, Uncle Master Yan's expression softened, but he couldn't help sighing.


"Perhaps it's because the disciples' talents are not sufficient, hence the ancestor didn't see fit to choose them," Liu Ming subtly relaxed when he heard this and concurred.
