In a remote jungle nestled between Chu City and Whitewater City within the Da  Xuan Country, a thin and frail figure was leaning against a thick tree trunk.  Both of his legs were spread apart in a relaxed manner. 

This figure belonged to a thirteen or fourteen-year-old teenager. 

Aside from his unusually pale face, the boy had fairly common facial features.  His clothes were loose-fitting and a bright shining steel sword was carelessly thrown by his side.

"You, it took you such a long time to go through a tribulation! If you hadn't come back, I would have almost gone looking for you myself," Liu Ming said with astonishment at the changes in the bone scorpion, but he couldn't hide the joy on his face as he stroked the back of the bone scorpion.


The bone scorpion had been his companion for quite some time now, and they had experienced many dangers together, so naturally, he had grown fond of it.


Just then, another shadow flickered in the dense forest, and the head of a man silently floated out — it was the Devil's Head Flying Skull.


After drifting close to Liu Ming, the Flying Skull stopped nearby with a respectful expression on its face.


"Let me see what happened that kept you outside for such a long time." Liu Ming moved the bone scorpion onto his shoulder, spread his fingers, and instantly pressed them on the crown of the Flying Skull.
