In a remote jungle nestled between Chu City and Whitewater City within the Da  Xuan Country, a thin and frail figure was leaning against a thick tree trunk.  Both of his legs were spread apart in a relaxed manner. 

This figure belonged to a thirteen or fourteen-year-old teenager. 

Aside from his unusually pale face, the boy had fairly common facial features.  His clothes were loose-fitting and a bright shining steel sword was carelessly thrown by his side.

Dan Gan stared at the black snake that had suddenly appeared before him, touched the black blood and brain matter on his forehead, his face filled with disbelief. After muttering a few words, his entire body immediately slumped down powerlessly, and at the same time, the white light shield in front of him shattered into spiritual light and disappeared.


But before the corpse could fully collapse to the ground, the head burst open with a muffled sound, and a mass of black mist wrapped around something shot up into the sky. After a moment's hesitation, it darted away.


With an afterimage in the void, the upper part of the black snake sprung out from the coarse hair on the bottom of the huge foot, while the lower half remained still, connected to the giant foot.


A scream ensued as the object within the black mist was bitten and held tightly by several black snakes.
