In a remote jungle nestled between Chu City and Whitewater City within the Da  Xuan Country, a thin and frail figure was leaning against a thick tree trunk.  Both of his legs were spread apart in a relaxed manner. 

This figure belonged to a thirteen or fourteen-year-old teenager. 

Aside from his unusually pale face, the boy had fairly common facial features.  His clothes were loose-fitting and a bright shining steel sword was carelessly thrown by his side.

"Where are they? Could they have escaped?"


Bronze had a ferocious look in his eyes as he stared at the red-robed beauty before him. His face darkened, and his voice was filled with anger, suggesting that he might have already guessed what happened.


"Hmph, the poison you released at the expense of your vital energy must have given you a taste of its power, Red Three. There's no need to discuss the rest. I will protect you while you heal. It is critical to recover your energy first. We can devise a long-term plan once you're restored," the woman in red replied indifferently, with a cold snort. After saying a few words, she turned into a shadowy figure and disappeared from where she stood.


Bronze's expression flickered between dark and light for quite a while before he finally closed his eyes again and began to use his power to heal his wounds.
