In a remote jungle nestled between Chu City and Whitewater City within the Da  Xuan Country, a thin and frail figure was leaning against a thick tree trunk.  Both of his legs were spread apart in a relaxed manner. 

This figure belonged to a thirteen or fourteen-year-old teenager. 

Aside from his unusually pale face, the boy had fairly common facial features.  His clothes were loose-fitting and a bright shining steel sword was carelessly thrown by his side.

"Is everyone gone? Did they manage to escape?"


Bronze Bird's eyes were fierce as he looked at the beautiful woman in the red dress, his face growing dark with anger. It was clear from his tone that he had guessed what happened and was filled with rage.


"Hmph, Red Three, the force of the toxin you released, even at great cost to your spiritual power, must have taken a toll on you as well. There's no need to discuss the others; I will protect you while you focus on healing. Once you've regained your strength, we can plan for the long term," the woman in red said indifferently, huffing coldly. After speaking a few words, she transformed into a shadowy figure and disappeared from the spot.


The expression on Bronze Bird's face changed unpredictably for a while before his eyes closed once again, and he began channeling his power to heal his wounds.
