In a remote jungle nestled between Chu City and Whitewater City within the Da  Xuan Country, a thin and frail figure was leaning against a thick tree trunk.  Both of his legs were spread apart in a relaxed manner. 

This figure belonged to a thirteen or fourteen-year-old teenager. 

Aside from his unusually pale face, the boy had fairly common facial features.  His clothes were loose-fitting and a bright shining steel sword was carelessly thrown by his side. 

Demon's Diary

"This place is the Upper Realm Ruins, but it looks like nothing special," the scholar said with a slap of his folding fan, patting his palm lightly as he murmured to himself.


Apart from Long Xuan, the pupils of the Demon Mystery Sect watching the scholar's back all revealed a trace of fear in their eyes.


"Taoist Friend Tu Gu, now that we have reached the Upper Realm Ruins, we shall take our leave," a thin man in a red robe flew out from the seven other sect cultivators, stood about ten feet in front of the scholar, and said with a cupped fist salute.


"Oh, it turns out to be Brother Feng, why should we split up? Wouldn't it be nice for all of us to search for treasures together?" The scholar in the Confucian robe revealed a sinister smile, teasing with a raised eyebrow.


"No need. The brothers of the Demon Mystery Sect have strong abilities, having us tag along would only be a hindrance. Let's not bother you all," the red-robed man's eye twitched as he replied with a forced smile.
