Chapter 900: Revenge

Polovich quickly delivered the cars that very night.

In Iraq, Japanese cars are the most common, and a very large portion of them are second-hand cars imported directly. As a result, the streets of Iraq are full of broken-down Japanese cars, which is why all four cars Polovich delivered were Toyotas since these would not attract special attention on Iraqi roads.

Polovich sent his own car, a seven-seater Land Cruiser that had been modified. Though it looked like an old model from the late '90s and was dirty and worn, beneath its exterior lay a brand-new chassis and engine. Additionally, all the glass was bulletproof, and the doors contained hidden armor. Although it couldn't protect against RPGs, it could withstand close-range firing from a 12.7 mm heavy machine gun.

To ensure the cars were in good condition, Polovich had to provide ones that had been modified, like a 2009 sedan deliberately dirtied and stripped of all shiny parts to look old, yet unlikely to break down mid-trip.
