A sadistic author transported 5 teenagers to his novel to complete it, will they survive in a world without a system? or will they die hopelessly?

There will be a lot of confusing parts but.. you'll understand some if you read further into the story.. maybe.. 
also there are multiple mc (the author, (the fictional one) and the 5 heroes).
They do not have a system to help them. and they do not have the skills of the body's they possessed, but they do have their figure and how strong their body is and stuff like that.. like mana, sight, instinct, power, and endurance. but I repeat they do not have the original body's skills. they have to learn them from scratch.
