Even when she was still little, Kirsten already decided to marry Gero when she grew up. That's why it looks like the sky fell on her when the young man said goodbye to her for he will be living in Germany for good with his parents. 

It took ten years before she was able to see him again but only to found out that he has already a girlfriend whom he only met a week ago.

She was hurt by what happened. So, even though it was difficult she tried her best to forget Gero. 

Until he met Jace. The first time they met he was very rude to her and antipathetic. The guy did nothing but catch all the bad attitudes that the devil spread here on earth. However, as time goes by she did not expect that he also has a soft and sweet side which she did not expect she would appreciate and might fall for him if she will not stop herself.
