Yuuji Kanzaki, a socially awkward shut-in and hardcore gamer, wakes up in the world of Eternavia: Bonds of Fate — the most popular action-romance RPG of the decade. But instead of becoming the game’s beloved protagonist, he finds himself in the shoes of a third-rate side character: Kael Virell, a moody academy loner who dies early in the main story.

Initially, Yuuji decides to kick back and spectate, letting the story play out as he remembers it. But something’s wrong. The protagonist starts losing battles he should easily win, events are unfolding out of order, and crucial love interests are going off-script. It’s as if the entire narrative is collapsing.

With a reluctant heart and hidden knowledge of every twist and stat in the game, Yuuji resolves to step in from the shadows. He’ll fight alongside the original protagonist—Eiden Rowenheart—not to steal the spotlight, but to preserve the story’s balance… and maybe, find a new path of his own.
