Dastardly Black and the Four Mistakes

"So, when should we invade?"

"Hmm, what do you think Vainglory? You ready to show that pretty face?"

"I always like showing my face." Vainglory said, "I just hope we get him before they do."

"Who?"

"The four mistakes," Vainglory uttered, "It would be nice wouldn't it, Acedia?"

"I just want everything in the world for us, Vainglory. We'll get him and offer him up to the boss. I'm sure he'll give us something nice when we do."

"Well, what do you think, Tristania," Vainglory asked, "You ready to go back to school?"

"Uhm, did you prepare the three already?"

Vainglory nodded and waved his hands over at some whip-feet and had them lash over towards the table with three blue bodies. They had on the symbol of Great Kings Academy on red emblazoned robes.

"Hmm, where did you get the robes," Acedia asked, "It would have been better if it was green."

"I spent a fortune getting these, honey. If you don't like it after you try it on, then I'll go buy some other ones down at black street."

Tristania replied, "Well, I like it Vainglory. I think it will make me look so pretty, and attractive."

Tristania danced and clapped before pointing to a body. Acedia and Vainglory chose the other two.

….

Dean, Elva, and Lloyd sat down at the lunch table with a mountain of good food. Dean's new sword was on the table, while Eada was on his lap staring at the desserts. He had found Dean in the hallway a few minutes later and was attracting all sorts of young and old over towards the freshman section.

The lunchroom had four sections, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, for each of the years. Van and Tray were at the second sucking up some food while staring over at Dean.

A few of the 3rd year girls deigned to sit in the 1st just to stare at the beautiful trivulna.

Monica was even more daring and walked over and plopped down next to Dean. Her red frilly uniform slid against Dean's legs. She couldn't help but scoop up the little fox and hold it up into the air.

"Ne! Ne!" Eada cooed.

"Hey again, Monica, I see you discovered my other half," Dean greeted.

"It's so beautiful, kid. How the hell did you get so lucky?" Monica laughed. "I've never seen a fox that was so cute before!"

"He actually didn't tell us yet," Elva said, "I was hoping you could explain it."

"Ha, I don't even know if you guys would believe me. He chased me because I had chocolate and ended up saving my life."

Monica wiggled him around in the air like she was playing with a baby. Dean felt embarrassed.

"Well, lets formally welcome him to the group with some chocolate," Lloyd smiled, "He pulled out a candy bar, and little Eada looked like he was about to swoon from bliss."

A senior walked over their way with a hood over his head, but he wasn't starting at the trivulna. He slowly slid down as he sat down at the table.

Dean and his group scratched their heads but went back to talking.

However, he eventually started eating the food that was piled up on the table. It took him just a minute to eat half of Dean's plate.

"Excuse me, the line is over there." Elva pointed.

Dean, however, didn't wait to ask questions. He immediately brandished his sword and slashed. If only Beat was here, not being chased by Yan, he would recognize him.

"Cling! Cling! Cling!"

"Ha, you're ten times weaker than your little savior." The voice laughed. "Unfortunately, you're going to have to come with me."

All five elements barreled towards the man as he spun out a wave of black. Dean immediately shot back towards the wall along with half of the freshman class.

"Ha, boys hurry quick before Vainglory gets here!"

"Yes, Yes, Yes Mr. Black!" Three voices said.

Dean weltered on the floor and scrambled to get up as Eada landed down in front of him bursting with flames. Monica was there too, and so were Lloyd and Elva.

"Get away from him," Van screamed. His fingers shot out lighting blue and it twisted like a dragon at a man full of disdain.

"You're too young to even see tie my shoe, jock!" Mr. Black flicked his hand proudly. Three water jets gushed like horizontal geysers and Van buckled against his table constantly pounded by the friction.

"I'll take care of this Dean. Stay behind me roomie!" Monica smiled at him before she puckered her lips, for some odd reason, and slammed her hand down into the floor. A sheet of earth spiked and attacked the attackers from all four directions.

Mr. Black just waved his hand at the elemental rush. However, he was surprised by the girl's power. She was nearing the second pyramid. I guess they even had gems in schools like these. Unfortunately, he couldn't let her get in his way. That boy on the floor was worth at least one hundred years of life.

"Boom!"

Tray got hit on his side and spun off towards the lunch window. Van scrambled to his feet before being frisbeed over to his friend. However, the seniors finally acted. A line of red coats flew over towards Dean and joined arms. A giant wall of rock crashed up into the ceiling.

Dean got up slowly and looked at the seniors gasping for breath. It looked like a drill was constantly pounding against their heads. Elva bent over and pat his head to make sure he was okay, while Lloyd was trying to support the seniors with the wall.

"I don't get it where are the knights," Dean muttered, "Shouldn't they be stopping this?"

"I don't know Dean, but we have to keep you safe no matter what. Your dead instantly if the Four mistakes get you." Monica said, "We should have back up in a few minutes."

"Damn it, Bane, how the hell did these guys get a lock array down on our own school!"

Samuel shot out a three-element potpourri at the while forcefield wiggling in front of the cafeteria.

"I don't know," Bane replied, "But if we don't hurry their all dead."

Samuel jugged down an elixir. It wasn't the kind of drink you'd want to drink. It was so disgusting he almost coughed out his lungs, but his body started glowing with an ominous light. He really couldn't lose that kid, not today.

"Stand back, Bane."

"Boom!"

The earth wall in front of the seniors blew up sending shrapnel darting at them. Luckily there was a wall of water like blanket to stop the inertia. But the blow caused all the earth elementalists to fall, and they could see the four hooded men walking towards them. It was almost like they had the illusion that you couldn't see their faces. Three of them were holding dagger sets and rushing towards the wave.

Dean got up and walked out in front of the seniors. His eyes were white. For some reason he just couldn't understand this. None of this made any sense. It was totally and completely impossible to even grasp a shred of why his friends were getting hurt. It was time…

"Boom!"

Samuel flew in immediately and moved like an arrow as one hundred tons of pissed off elemental energy collided with four shocked men.

"Poof!"

They all ended up against the wall held down by three colored pillars.

"Is everyone, okay?" Bane yelled.

Some of the kids didn't look like they could answer, but most of them nodded their heads.

"You guys are just at the third pyramid and you dare make trouble in my school!" Samuel's power skyrocketed. He was at the top of the fifth and didn't like being made a fool of.

"Sorry, we just wanted to save the world, really. You've heard about it, right?"

"What are you talking about?" Samuel looked around the room. "All I see is some crooks who tried to hurt students. Your righteous bull isn't welcome here."

Collin and a team of knights ran over to the students and started tending to their wounds. Dean, however, was still standing there but his eyes were no longer white. He dropped to his knees and was added to a line of people taken to the nurse's office. The rest of the students helped with cleanup, as the four men were wrapped up in gauze and thrown in the dungeon.

….

"Well, I guess it's our turn, Vainglory." Tristania passed the scope over towards Acedia.

Vainglory shook his head. "I don't think those four our done yet. They are the four mistakes after all."

"But I want to get him first," Acedia complained, "It's not fair."

"Well, it doesn't mean we can't enter the school, Acedia. After you, my ladies."

Two girls, and one boy walked off towards the entrance of Great Castle Academy. They were saluted at by the knights when they entered.

….

Samuel went through the nurse's office helping tend to the wounded with washes of white healing blankets made from his energy. He was there along with a lot of the other teachers tending to the students.

"You all have tomorrow off for kicking so much ass!" Bane yelled.

Unfortunately, only a few replied with a fist bump to the air. The rest of them all groaned trying to piece themselves together.

Samuel finally made his way over towards Dean.

"If you try and save the school again, before you reach the third pyramid, I guarantee that you'll die."

Dean nodded his head and stared over at Monica. She was smiling at him and holding her thumb up.

"What the hell do they want? It's not like there's anything special about me."

"Hmph, you underestimate your value kid. Your probably worth more than this entire country. Now, get some rest."

Dean turned over, and reached out his arms gently grasping Eada who also had a bandage on her leg.

"I'll be stronger than anyone in a while you just watch!"

Eada just licked his face and nodded.
