The Wizard and the Enchantress

She was broken-hearted.

Sara didn't even know how she was able to go home. The only thing that was on her mind was to hold herself together before riding a train, leaving Rion behind. Her eyes were stinging with unshed tears, her throat dry from the weather outside.

As soon as she opened the front door of her house, she sunk to her knees and cried. She cried with the tightness on her chest. It was over. Just like that, Rion had let her go.

How could he hurt her this much? Why was it so painful?

The pain was like her heart was being torn by pieces.

She couldn't stay for too long because, if she did, she was sure she might do stupid things. Her older sister and Evan were already married. Just like Rion, she didn't have any reason to stay at this place.

Sara knew he didn't feel the same way for her, but the thought of him like she didn't matter hurt her. She thought with their previous encounters he had grown fond of her.
