She Loved Me First

Three days later…

Jared didn't know whether the sky was also mourning and crying for their dead father or was it just a coincidence. It was raining hard earlier, and the sky was too dark; it was as if late afternoon had come even though it was only nine in the morning. He thought the rain wouldn't stop until the ceremony ended, but it did.

It was a little bit cold, but at least the sun was trying to let them know that the rain wouldn't drench them anytime soon. Jared really wanted to go on a break. Maybe visit a local beach. He had been fascinated by the scent of the sea, the different shapes of the shells, and the shrieking of the seagulls on the shore. He wanted to feel the cool salt water on his feet.
