Is anyone home?

It was time to get food, the dilapidated building appeared as if it was at risk of collapsing, the likelihood of it being recently lived in was low so that was why he didn't check. He also did not care to check for weapons since the moment an angel arrived no amount of bats and other blunt weapons would do him any good.

Cracking his knuckles Aeous got to work to improve his situation at the earliest start of the Apocalypse.

He needed to figure out what kind of situation the world was in, jogging down the steps and through the back entrance of the house from whence he came he reached the backyard, from there he went through the opening in the fence.

He went around the house checking if there were any Angels around. If there were he could just head back if there were any humans nearby...

He would have to kill them. He had never killed anyone, and he saw everyone surrounded when he fled, there may be a few stragglers like him around but around here? Not likely. Everyone that would show up could be, converted & have been told sweet nothings by that Angel leader and his foreign yet enchanting voice.

How many of the angel leaders were there? Hundreds? This was just a small city, for much larger cities they could very well have multiple angels in gold. How many people would buy into the whole rapture crap?

Can the angels even be killed?

People were killed, and as he had read the bible multiple times there aren't any such things in it.

Humans were not supposed to be killed during the rapture, captured maybe but killed no fucking way!

Humans had the ability to think for themselves, they also liked to be greedy few would have wild ideas about taking advantage of the angels. The opposite was true for the angels if one thought about it in another perspective.

They were likely told by a big shot, that they were to come here on this day and to check for prospects that they could bring back for only God knows what and to kill those who resisted. There were many people gave up and none who gave up were killed excluding those who insulted God or those who just pissed them off.

Humans that were converted would probably believe that weapons have no use at all, against humans they would be excellent it is only against other stronger species like the angel that such weapons would prove to be of no use.

The system said that it would be watching if he does do something amazing I will get something amazing and with my shit luck, amazing things will happen to him once in a blue moon. He had to make use of every moment as if it was his last.

Aeous decided to get a weapon just in case, one by one he would break into each of the houses and take any weapons that would suit his fancy.

If he found survivors, he would overcome that trial when that time comes.

Aeous attempted to open the door, jiggling the doorknob he failed to get in.

Assuming that it would happen Aeous began to kick at the door.

*Kiii* *Kii* *Kiii*

Moments later in a state of exhaustion the door that was sturdier than it looked stopped shaking. He would try the other way to get in, he climbed over the fence and the porch door was thinner than the front. Aeous examined the objects that he could use to get in and grabbed a chair sweeping his gaze over a long paneled window he threw the chair forth.

The sound of breaking glass the noise that he was bracing himself for was finally heard.

Shards of the glass panel flew about, and he grabbed a nearby tool: a rake and began to clean off the bottom of the window so he would not sustain any injuries by climbing over it.

He straddled the window frame that was elevated off of the porch and entered the house.

The house looked to be unoccupied, that was until he saw a shadow move in the distance. Emerging from the shadows was a man... A short man.

It looked like a small fat man.

Rosy red cheeks and auburn hair with small white wings on his back, his arms were also behind it. The fat short man looked youthful despite his extra size.

"Well, how do you do?" Aeous asked when he made eye contact with the short man he seemed to be looked at like he was a bug.

"Are you going to drop that stick or is this Daddy going to have to teach you your place?"

His voice sounded whimsical, and at the same time, just a tad bit serious.

That's it all took for Aeous to no longer take this odd fat man lightly and Aeous held his rake tighter.

A few minutes away...

A group of people with mostly determined or reluctant looks walked down the block, the same block that Aeous was located on.

A lanky fellow with shifty eyes with a small bag of rocks was slung over one of his shoulders, he was leading a group of 13 people in the center of the road. Cars were tossed aside, and cracks were common on the road.

His voice was almost hushed as the man no older than eighteen began to speak.

"Those Angels are so fucking scary, and they want us to hunt down our fellow humans, sheesh! But I am no fool, the reward for capturing any stragglers is monumental. The thing is they wanted us to bring these Rocks with us... If they resist we have to kill them and then... We gotta chant that bunch of gibberish."

"How can- How can we know who is resisting?" A more timid man asked with hesitation building in his voice.

"We can know Howard if they do not come with us. If they do not want to we use what failed on the angels. How did they say it, they said... Human weapons. What a bunch of snobbish..."

He was quickly interrupted by the timid man.

"They should still work on them right?" The same man who questioned him before asked.

"Yes, Howard-" Before the lanky man could finish speaking he heard a loud noise near them.

It sounded like glass shattering.

Those who less determined grew more uncertain, not long enough because those with the greatest determination were also the ones most taken by the prize they quickly headed to find its source.

Whoever it was, was not going to get off the hook without a fight.

"Humans, let us show those birds what we humans are fucking made of!" The lanky man said loudly before breaking into a sprint with a dagger in his hand that lightly glowed.

The rest of the group roared in agreement before charging after their leader who also happened to have a diverse array of weapons in their hands from Pans from gauntlets to tower shields.

This would be easier than they expected it would be. This will be over in an instant.
