Something Happened to Kevin

When Danna woke up, her heart was still hurting but she still went to Boredom to work. She saw Micah, Gev, and Kaxs at their usual table. She laughs a little because they're talking rather than working. She walks to them and greets them.

"Hello, Good morning everyone." Danna greeted.

"Oh, Danna! I thought you're taking a day off. Your mother called and said that your chest is hurting." Micah stood up and looked at her from head to toe.

"Are you really okay?" Gev asked. Kaxs also looked at her like she also wants to know if she's alright.

Danna smiled. "Yes, I'm fine now. But sometimes, my chest hurts a little." Danna's smiling but Gev and Kaxs know that she's not really okay. Micah, being the easygoing one smiled and just lets it slide.

Then suddenly, Kevin's friends came rushing inside Boredom. All of them were breathing heavily. Danna clutched her chest, "What's wrong?" she asked in a nervous voice. She doesn't know why she's nervous but she thinks that something bad has happened.

"Danna." The nerdy one was the first one to say something. He inhaled first, "Kevin's in the hospital."

Danna feels like a thousand bolts of lightning struck her and immediately falls to the ground. She didn't faint but her both legs gave out. "W-what happened to him?"

"The police said that he was driving on the highway when suddenly, a car hit his car. Since there was a light rain last night, the road was slippery. He crashed his car on an Acacia tree." He explained calmly but full of worry.

"Oh my god," Micah exclaimed and help Danna stand up.

"I-I need to see him!" Danna said unconsciously.

"Kevin doesn't want anyone to see him." Fatty said lightly as he gave Danna a wary smile.

Danna tears started to roll down on her face. "W-why?"

"He…" The blue shirt guy also started to cry. After all, he's the most emotional person when it comes to Kevin. "Because of the impact when he crashed on the tree… shards of the glass… went all over his face…" He couldn't say any more because he also started to cry like a baby. The long-haired guy patted him on his head but he continuously cried.

Danna also starts to cry. She closed her eyes. "As expected, I-I really need to see him even if he doesn't want to."

Micah called someone and after a minute, a taxi was in front of Boredom. Micah looked at Danna. "Go. I can't leave Boredom so you can take Gev and Kaxs here to go with you to the hospital."

Kaxs was about to complain when Micah eyed her. Kaxs immediately closed her mouth because she knows she can't win. Gev nodded her head at Micah like he already knows what to do.

Danna hugged Micah as she rushed outside. Gev and Kaxs followed after her. Kevin's friends also went to their respective cars.

Danna somehow thinks that it's her fault.

"Don't even think that it's your fault that Kevin had an unfortunate accident. Accidents happened all the time. All you need to do is to stay by his side no matter what happens. You understand, right?" Kaxs said with her eyes closed.

Danna understands because from now on, she will help Kevin. Even if the world is against their love, she will stay by his side.
