Why push me to a pit?

As sunlight peeked through their eyelids, the two rubbed their eyes to awaken from their deep slumber. They urged their bodies to stand up, only to find their arms brushing against each other. They quickly sought to cover themselves, only to find that they were revealing their body's full view, their clothes scattered before them

They stared at each other, particularly Khan who had deep bags under his eyes, his expression became filled with helplessness as he glanced at Lily's vibrant visage.

Even with his Divine Emperor enchanted Fleshly Body, he still found it hard to endure LIly's inexhaustible drive, but what made him speechless wasn't that, it was because he found that Lily became even more beautiful, her skin, mysteriously shone under the sunlight and looked supple to the touch.

"Why do you look like you became even more of a Goddess, even though, you're the one who urged me to do it, several times, past my limit..." He complained, his tone, aggrieved.

Her cheeks puffed, she stared angrily at him and struck his head with a pillow.

"So, this is how you're going to do it, huh?!" Khan retaliated with a strike of his own, sending Lily's figure, staggering back to the bed,

"Hahaha," Lily's joyful laugh resounded, Khan stared at her in confusion, but just as he was about to ask, he was met with a smack to the face with a pillow.

His hand blurred, and in an instant, three pillows appeared on his arm as his lips leaked a menacing smile, "It looks like I need to teach you some lesson..."

Sounds of irritation and laughter echoed inside the room as they battled as if their life was on the line, and pillows as their weapon.

After a sumptuous breakfast, they proceeded towards a nearby sky train platform, as they entered their train, a longing light flashed through their eyes as they stared at the on-going festivities.

The mirthful laughs of the crowd, the excitement of children and the liveliness of everyone touched the coldness within their heart.

'We'll definitely be back here, soon.' The two decided in their hearts as they leaned towards each other's shoulders, with a slight smile, suffused on their faces.

Although the time they spent at that place wasn't that long, it was enough for them to relax and unwind after those tensed events that occurred at the Continent of Pride. Hopefully, soon, they would return, and stay there until they get tired of everything.

The sky train took several hours to arrive at their destination, the Capital City of Muspelheim, Avarisia.

When the two disembarked, they didn't immediately go towards the mansion, instead, they walked towards the direction of Barhan's casino, passing by several stalls, Khan became intrigued by a certain stall that had dozens of patrons in line.

His eyes shone with an excited light, for stalls with such a huge line up surely has a dish, tasty enough that people remembered it in their hearts.

He pulled Lily over and the latter was delighted to find that the stall was an ice-cream crepe establishment, the two then lined up along with the other patrons and waited for their turn.

But when they faced the attendant, Khan's eyes frowned as he scanned the woman who looked like she was on her mid-twenties, the reason was, although she wore a brilliant smile on her face, her eyes didn't the light that every human contained, it was as if she was an empty shell.

Lily noticed his expression and said: "She's a Work Automation Robot," Khan's eyebrows locked, "Really?" Even though his tone contained doubt, it was impossible for someone to be smiling so sweetly towards another without having a soul, so it was the only logical explanation.

Yet, Khan didn't expect that Modern Technology has gone so far that most of the Continent's workforce became filled with automated robots with human-like features.

Khan's head repeatedly nodded as he listened attentively to Lily's explanation, his shock, then turned into excitement for, he could just use these Automated Robots, instead of humans for his experiments.

However, as he listened to her ramblings about how expensive it was, his plan quickly retracted, his pace quickened as he brought Lily along towards the direction of Barhan's Casino, all the while munching on his crepe.

When they entered inside, they noticed that everything looked gloomy than usual, the Lily who wasn't used to this kind of environment, had a frown on her face as she scanned the area where a persistent smell of several strong liquors wafted.

Khan's eyes darted towards the area where the crowd, strangely concentrated, he moved, with Lily in tow and found that a middle-aged man exuberantly laughed as he betted, with the dealer, revealing a ghastly and pale expression.

"That's another fifty million, there!" The middle-aged man exclaimed, the crowd that surrounded him, which composed of several other men, endlessly fawned upon him, satisfying his vanity.

"B-b-but, sir... It's just... We don't have that much money, ye-"

"Hah?! Are you telling me that such a luxurious casino can't even fork out such a measly amount of money?!" His eyes shone in a vicious light, his tone grim and solemn.

"Are you scamming me?!" With these words, the men around him glared at the dealer, with their imposing might focused on him which made the latter endlessly tremble in fear.

"I know that you're just the dealer and you don't really have the money to pay my winnings, since that's the case, call the owner, here! I'll settle this by myself!" He stood up, he didn't even bother about the retreating dealer as he stared at the distant area covered by the shadows.

Khan's eyebrows locked, although Barhan had helped him, that doesn't mean that he would recklessly risk himself towards unknown waters just for his sake, but that also doesn't mean that he would keep his mouth shut if everything goes wrong.

Lily held on Khan's arm, the latter stared at their slightly frightened expression as he had a thought in his mind, 'Why is this little dragon, acting like a scared little girl towards these small fries?'

He moved her closer towards her chest and noticing his actions, Lily revealed a sweet smile as she buried herself on his chest that emanated his scent, the reasons why she acted like that was to incite Khan's instinct as a man, and that was to protect his beloved ones, and the other reason was, she just wanted to bask in his warmth and the sense of security that he gave off.

Several minutes later, the figure of Barhan came out from a hidden door at the side, his eyes shone in a dignified light as he stared at the figure that sat on the couch, the frown on his forehead increased as he noticed that he was currently in the middle of sexually harassing his own employees.

Although Barhan was a person that worked in the underground, that doesn't mean that he was heartless, at the least, he still had the heart to care for those people that worked under him, and seeing someone harassing those whom he cared, greatly irritated him.

"Stay your hand, you bastard!" He exclaimed and the figure of the middle-aged man froze, the latter leaked a vicious smile, his might didn't falter when it clashed against Barhan's imposing pressure.

"Seems like you finally grew a pair..." He pushed the women aside and stood up, his gaze lined up towards Barhan as the air around them thickened.

'He's a cultivator?' Khan's eyes became filled with surprise, although the people who lived in the current age knew about Cultivation, they didn't think much of it because of the resources that it needed just to achieve a single realm breakthrough, yet this man before him had a cultivation of the Peak of Spirit Tempering Realm, the same as Barhan who improved by leaps and bounds.

The men who stood around the middle-aged man also emanated the strength that should only come from a Cultivator, albeit a little weaker than the latter.

"Are you trying to go against me? Caesar?" Barhan's eyes shone in a critical light.

"Going against you? Of course not, I'm here to claim what's rightfully mine." Caesar leaked a small smile, retracting his oppressive aura, he sat back on the couch, like a carefree man.

"I won about a hundred million already, and if you guys are not willing to hand my winnings, then they could only be one way to solve everything..." His tone revealed that he was not willing to back down. Barhan's eyes shone with a resolute light, but he was already shivering down his spine.

He glanced at the dealer and the two signaled to each other, taking a deep breath, his eyes darted to the old man who wore a decent attire that stood behind him.

The old man noticed his gaze, but only shook his head in response as if saying that, 'I also can't defeat him...'

Barhan clenched his fists, although he could easily fork out a hundred million, that doesn't mean that his heart wouldn't bleed, and he would also need to sacrifice at least half of his current assets to obtain that amount.

His expression became ugly, his palm became pale as his nail dug deep, his eyes darted around the area as if he was looking for a respite, and then, he found the figure of a young man with reddish hair dressed in a simple attire composed of t-shirts and short, beside him, the figure of an aquamarine-haired young woman, stood.

Feeling Barhan's gaze, Khan had a premonition, 'Could it be that this old man is...'

"Okay, Caesar, I agree to offer you that hundred million, however, if you are able to defeat that young man!" He pointed at Khan as he screamed, while Caesar's expression startled, he slowly turned his head but was disappointed to find a young man standing there, his expression nonchalant as if everything that occurred didn't matter to him.

'Damn, has he gone senile? Trying to match me with a kid that looks like he's still sucking on his mommy.' Caesar inwardly cursed, but on the surface, he maintained his poised posture and revealed a small smile towards Khan as he said.

"Caesar Castillion, nice to meet you." Khan stared at his outstretched hand and returned the gesture in kind, his eyes started to scan the middle-aged man that stood before him.

He frowned, for he discovered that even though he wore a gentle smiling expression, his eyes hid a deep light of ill intent and hidden intentions, although those who stood at the side wouldn't notice it, how could he, who fought all his way to the peak, clashing against those brilliant schemers in their own generations, couldn't see through his petty facade?

Retracting his hand, he stared speechlessly at Barhan who dragged him to this matter. Barhan only smiled, his eyes indicated that he would surely compensate Khan for this matter.

"Since you look awfully young, how long have you been gambling?" Caesar's eyes slightly narrowed as he interrogated.

Khan nonchalantly replied: "I don't really have that much experience, I think, maybe about only a single day."

His reply caused Barhan to almost choke on his own saliva, 'A single day? You only gambled for a single day, yet you could already defeat the strongest gambler in my casino?! Stop bullshitting me...' The old man behind him revealed a speechless expression, his gaze complicated as it landed on Khan.

Hearing his reply, the gentle light within Caesar's light quickly replaced with a light of disdain as he spoke, "Seriously, Barhan? You've resorted to sending such a young bud to fight to the death against me?"

Barhan rolled his eyes, What fight to the death? the two of you will just do some dice gambling, and also, I can't wait to see you coughing out blood in frustration, soon.' He inwardly thought, but on the surface, he revealed a defeated smile and helplessly sighed.

"Just give me this chance, Caesar, even though he looks that young, I can assure you that he's at least qualified to fight with you."

Witnessing Barhan's plight, Caesar's ego became satisfied as he crossed his arms together and didn't bother about Barhan anymore, "Okay, then, kid, I'm sorry to tell this to you, but you'll definitely lose, but don't worry, Since this old geezer pushed you through this without your consent, I won't have you lose too badly." He spoke while moving behind the counter wherein a dice and a metal cup was placed.

"Since being a dealer is quite hard, I'll take this position, first and every round, we'll change positions as better and dealer, sound good, right?" Caesar placed the dice inside the cup and swirled it around as rattling sounds echoed from the metal cup.

Khan leaked a confident smile on his face, when it comes to gambling, if he dared to second first, no one would dare to claim that they were first!

"Okay, then let's do as you say, Uncle Caesar," Khan replied, his head turned as he felt a nudge on his sleeve, he found Lily clutching his arm, her eyes revealed a worried light within it.

He nodded his head and assured her by ruffling her hair as the latter narrowed her eyes in enjoyment. His left arm captured her waist as he pulled her closer towards his chest.

Caesar's eyes shone in a vexed light, 'Damn, kid, you're about to fight a Grandmaster Class Gambler, yet you still have the mind to embrace a woman before me?' He thought in his mind as he simulated his plan to thoroughly crush Khan under his feet.
