"Do you want to get rid of us? It's not that easy, buddy. You are stuck with us." Then Rachzi smacked Alfizar's head lightly.
Alfizar blinked at the vision, this is the second time he got to see someone's face in his vision, not Deja Vu, the first one was when he woke up from the coma, it was Henry's face he saw... but, that vision was... Alfizar shook his head distracted his wandering thought away. His lips stretched into a smile.
Does that mean... Rachzi was trustworthy?
"Thank you." They gave him a bright, big grin.
"STOP RUNNING, YOU D*MN BRAT!" was what the four heard the moment they stepped in the massive Combat and Defense Club's room.
Almost everyone presents laughing as their attention on the chasing duo. It turned out that the one who shouted the curse was no other then Dioz. He was covered in a colorful paint from head to toes.
But his back was clean. He was chasing a boy with a dark blue hair that no older than 13. The boy laughed loudly as he ran from the raging Dioz. Alfizar, Rachzi, Frans, and Vianzo can't help it but laugh.
"What happened?" Vianzo asked a senior student near him.
"Rael throw a paint bomb when Dioz tried to 'teach' a girl how to hold a bow," the senior said without looking away from that free spectacle, but he raised his hands up and bent two fingers on each hand up and down to quote.
They instantly understand that Dioz had just tried to flirt with yet another girl. The boy ran toward the group, he quickly got behind Rachzi and used him as his shield.
"You looks ridiculous, Dio." Frans laughed at the still cursing Dioz.
"Do you have to be so harsh on a kid?" Rachzi waved to the giggling boy hiding behind him. Then the kid ran to Alfizar to used him as a shield. The boy quickly got behind the big brother who looks like he will help him from the chasing 'mean' big brother.
"This brat throw a paint bomb at me when all I did just to teach Lennata how to use a bow as a weapon carefully!!! This is why I hate brat so much!" Dioz shouted angrily while he pointed at the boy behind Alfizar.
The boy tucked his tongue out to mock him. "See!? You see that tongue?! Come here! I will personally cut off that tongue for you!!" He stalked angrily at the boy only to be stopped by Vianzo and Frans who wiped off tears from laughing too much.
"Come on, Dioz. How can you raise a child of your own in the future if you have this much hate for kids!" Frans pulled him back.
"I will just adopt a child that is old enough to be my successor right after my marriage!" Frans roared with laughter while Vianzo facepalmed as they pulled the angry Dioz away to get cleaned up from the paint.
Alfizar who just chuckled in the entire exchange turned to look at the boy, he asked, "Why did you throw a paint bomb at Dio?"
"Why wouldn't I? He is such a playboy, very contrary to my principle as a gentleman." The boy grinned. This boy who had dark blue hair and black eyes is a month old new member of CDC. His name was Raelan Higurd, a 'Self-proclaimed gentleman'. Alfizar shook his head amused.
This combat and defense club was a massive room that was only smaller to a Sports stadium field. And in this room, there were four fighting arenas and many seats for the spectators.
Unlike any other clubs, this club always has many spectators that were not a part of the club. And there's a lot of seats surrounding the eight fighting arenas to the second floor, this room looks like a mini-stadium.
Alfizar was about to look for Henry after waiting for almost fifteen minutes when the changing room's door, where Dioz who was pulled in by Frans and Vianzo, was opened. A laughing Henry was head-locking the sour-looking Dioz. Frans and Vianzo following behind.
Henry and Dioz were wearing a black long sleeves spandex with electric shining blue lines that come from their back to each of the limbs, this spandex was called nerve suit.
On their waist was a pouch. There were fake knives and modified guns that were used for training. Every time this knives and guns hit the opponent, the lines on the spandex would light-up on the body part that got 'hit'.
The suit light before the spar was blue when the body or limbs did not get hit at all. When get hit, the light would be varied from yellow, orange to dark red to indicate light injury to the severe one.
If the modified gun's bullet hit the nerve suit, the artificial pain was real. The nerve suit manipulated the nerve of the wearer, to the point that the wearer won't be able to move a certain limb that got hit too much from the artificial pain that was no different from a real wound, including the dizzy and cold feeling of 'losing' too much blood.
Though the body was completely fine after the suit was turned off. The nerve suit fiber could prevent a bullet from penetrating flesh. But the elastics fiber that makes moving the body easier, can't prevent bruise and bone fracture.
This was why CDC was so much popular compared to any other sports out there. A real fight without risking the student's wellbeing.
Decades ago, this method was used to train the soldiers without giving them anymore unnecessary injury. The military's higher-ups want the soldiers to have more experience without risking them more injuries because they needed to be in the top conditioned during the war.
Now that the time of peace has come, this method now used to those who want a way to learn a real way to defend themselves, those who just simply love extreme sports, those who loved fighting, or those who want to devote themselves to the nation by becoming a soldier after graduation.
Paint weapons were used to train the newbie's reflex and fighting ability it was called Combat Training, electric weapon and nerve suit were used for the professionals to train, or for those who were deemed skilled enough to move to the next level it was called Combat Simulation.
But, in the competition, there was no safety reassurance. Then guns and knives that used were all real and there were even some of the participant that bring their own choice of weapon, there were no restrictions. The third level of this Combat method in this club was called Real Combat Fight.
