Company Shareholders

Harlock and Zio were in the middle of a conversation when Alfizar, Aurina, and Henry made their presence known in the living room.

"Ah, you are finally home," Harlock said as he put down a cup of tea on the table. Alfizar gave him a polite nodded as he sat down on the sofa.

"Did you wait for me, Uncle Harlock?" Alfizar asked curiously. Aurina and Henry choose to sit on either side of him.

"That's right, I and your uncle just discussed about Elftaf group's current leader," Harlock said seriously. The moment he hard that they were discussing Elftaf group, Alfizar's body unconsciously straighten.

Who doesn't know that the current leader of Elftaf group is a really ambitious man? Alfizar has met that man a couple of times when he was younger. That man is Razak Vacazor, Samuel's second secretary, the one who assisted Henry's father as Henry's father was Samuel's main secretary.

Henry's father died a day before Samuel's death. Now, Razak Vacazor leading the company in the absence of new successor. The media said that Samuel's children whereabouts were unknown, so Razak will lead the company until the legal successor took over. Razak was known as a really ambitious man among his colleagues, he quickly climbed up in rank and soon become the second secretary of Elftaf company.

Elftaf group was originally a weapon company, then when it fell to Samuel and Renata's hands, it slowly began to work on social, helping people, producing new technology, doing research to solve the weather disaster, etc. But now the company has become active in producing weapons and missiles again.

Alfizar was not happy knowing his parent's hard work has become nothing.

"Did something happened with the company?" Alfizar asked seriously.

"Vacazor has been trying to convince the member of the company's board of directors, that the two of you," Harlock point at Alfizar and Aurina. "has probably been killed not long after your parents." Harlock's eyes were grim. Zio looked away in guilt because he has never told Alfizar anything about the company.

Aurina took in a sharp breath as she snapped her had to look at her brother. Henry was silent the whole time, they were discussing the man he knows well, they have met a lot of times because Henry's father has been preparing Henry to help him with his work as a secretary and he was not in a good term with that man.

"Uncle Harlock, I don't know much about the company, but can you tell me, what he will get by telling the directors of Elftaf's branches that we have died," Alfizar asked, and in response, Harlock nodded.

"When your parents' death was announced, your company's stock prices plummeted sharply. From the information, I gathered, Vacazor spends his entire fortune and even borrowed a few billion to buy all shares from people who want to sell them." Harlock was tapping on his tablet's screen then showed it to Alfizar who was stunned speechless by the information he just heard.

The number of shares owned by Samuel is 40%, Renata has 10%. And all of it should be inherited by their children, Alfizar and Aurina. Originally, Renata has 60% of the shares she inherited from her father. 40% transferred to Samuel after their wedding, 10% was given to Henry's father because so he would work alongside Samuel and because he was her last long distant cousin.

The rest of the shares which is 40%, were divided among 7 company directors from each branch of Elftaf Group.

But, the report on Alfizar's hand was totally different from what it should have been.

The 50% shares that should have been for him and his sister was only 40%, 3 company directors sold their stock which is 15% to Vacazor. Now 25% is shared between the 4 company directors. Razak Vacazor has 15% and 10% out of nowhere.

"Where is the 10% that should have been under Aurina's name?!" Alfizar shouted in disbelieve, then his eyes fell on Razak Vacazor's name. "25%? Shouldn't it be 15%?"

Harlock shook his head sadly. "You might have guessed it, Alfizar. That 10% went to Vacazor's name."

Aurina looked at Harlock in surprised, "But how?!"

"I think he did it trough fake documentation. Or maybe wills that have been falsified." Zio said after he recovered from the guilt of not telling Alfizar about the company's situation.

"But... if he really does it like that, why not just took everything instead of just 10%?" Henry asked out of curiosity, but his words get him a glare from Aurina and Alfizar. Their eyes basically saying that 'Did you just said that Vacazor should have taken everything?!'

Alfizar shook his head and took a deep breath to calm himself.

"My guess is, if he took to much, others will be suspicious of him. Even 10% might have earned him a few suspicious gazes. Am I right?" Alfizar asked Harlock to confirm his theory.

"You are right." Harlock nodded at him. "My informant told me, a week after your parent's death, the 10% he gained from your mother is announced to the shareholders, they were questioning the lawyer who in charge."

"That aside, Uncle Harlock, how did he have such a confidence to spent so much money to buy the shares from the shareholders? How did he so sure that the stock price will be back?" Alfizar returned Harlock's tablet back to him.

"You must have noticed that Elftaf Group was more active in producing weapons than before, Alfizar." Harlock's voice was heavy with grim as if he was going to say something that shouldn't have happened. "I think he produces a weapon that has been in your father's blacklist before."

"Blacklist weapons?!" Henry said in surprised, Alfizar, Aurina and Zio has no idea about the blacklist weapon. But Henry who has been to the company with his father, clearly know about it.
