Immediant Death

As a newly arisen vampire, Erica didn't know how to conceal her presence. However, her instincts were already like a fully transformed one. And right now, her instincts were screaming danger. Her feeling of invincibility soon vanished the moment she felt this dread rise up from the bottom of her stomach. So she started to run, run as fast as her legs could carry her. At the moment she resemble a mouse being chased by an owl.

"Would you like to tell me what causes you to run so quickly?" a monotone voice asked and the feeling of dread seemed to skyrocket. Her dead heart seemed to start pounding again, but it was most likely her imagination as her heart hasn't thumped a single time since she died a few days ago.

Erica's head flinched towards the dead sounding voice. There, leaning against the wall was a lady with gleaming silver hair that reached her waist, tied in a simple ponytail. Her eyes hid behind her glasses, though the emptiness of it could be felt from where Erica stood, making her shiver. Her lab coat was drifting gently in the cool night breeze, contrasting with the dark of the night.

"I suppose you haven't noticed that you've been running in circles now, have you?" she asked stepping closer to me, I responded by stepping back.

"If I'm not wrong, you're the one who set the house on fire," she continued speaking, making me feel horrified. How? How could she have found out? I made sure that I burned the evidence and I"m presumably dead....so how?

"That feast probably hasn't lasted you this long. I suppose you've eaten a few homeless people here and there, correct?" she asked, stepping closer and closer with every word. Before I knew it, I was pressed up against the wall of a building.

"Letting me this close," she said, nearly in front of me, "You don't know who I am, do you?"

Then she touched my head and the world started to spin.

When the world stopped spinning, a was greeted by a forest which smelled of blood. My stomach started rumbling at the strong scent of it and my mouth immediately started to salivate.

"Oh! It's my good fortune to have stayed behind!" a lively voice came from my left side and the next thing I knew, I was lying on the ground, staring at what seemed to be the forest's foliage. It wasn't long before they started to fade and my other senses started to feel blurry.

"Ah.....perhaps I should've played with her for a little while....Oh well," were the last things I heard before I started my eternal sleep.
