Bk 2: Chapter Five (27)

In another place in the dark Valley, Helen and Kheal moved in sync. Helen felt as though she had been training for years when it had only been days. They knew where the exit was. They should have left a while ago, but Kheal wanted to train her. She had explained that she must learn her most known skills to a level before they left.

As Helen moved, Kheal's eyes darkened. Helen could practice these skills so well; it made her question her origin. She looked at the figure moving like her through the woods at such speed; it could almost match her that he frowned.

This was only a test. Knowing this skill was unnecessary as no one would dare pretend to be her. She had everything all planned out. There was no way anyone would ask her to perform any of these skills that would put Helen, pretending to be her on the spot. She had suspicions about Helen's identity and wished to try it out. Helen could display blood rage.

This was a skill only tied to the pure bloodline, the main house of her clan. Looking at her move with ease, she seemed to understand something.

"You are from Thriergor." She said and Helen missed a step on the tree branches and almost fell to the ground. She grabbed the branch nearby to stabilize her person, before looking at Kheal in the distance.

"Why do you assume that?" Helen asked darkly.

"Worry not, sister. I will not share this with others." Kheal said, "It seems we really are sisters,"

"What do you mean?" Helen asked.

"The skills at teach you now, especially the one finger, these are my clan steps. The one finger for one is a skill that can only be practised by those of the main bloodline. You are from Thriergor." she said and Helen's frown did not go away.

"How is that deduction conclusive that I am from Thriergor?" Helen asked.

"You really don't know?"

"Know what?"

"Those on Thriergor are just branches of each great power here," Kheal said.

"I have never heard of that deduction." Helen raised a brow.

"So you are accepting that you are from there."

"Get to the point!" Helen was quite agitated by these questions. She was someone not of this world and more so, she had come to this world with the lady Wickshire, a person she had heard was the most wanted character here. The way people talk about her, made her understand long ago that she was in danger if someone found out she was in any way related to the lady.

"Thriergor used to be the capital of the lower realm belt. The middle realm powers all sent representatives to the lower realm belt a long time ago, but no one of their main bloodline. My clan history is quite dark. One of the brothers of the main bloodline left for the lower realms with his faction. They have never been heard from again. We knew that those from various places were trapped in Thriergor with the Ice Bloom Thraine took the world for herself, and even worse when the Thraines after her locked the world, but we did not suspect a branch of our main bloodline would be trapped there too; worse, the main bloodline." Kheal explained.

"So, this is why you have come to this conclusion? I could be from anywhere in the lower realms." Helen answered.

"Yes, but you must understand that my clan has been searching for remnants of that bloodline for centuries, but to no avail. The only place we have not been able to search because of how restrictive it was to move there, was Thriergor." Kheal said.

"How important is this information?" Helen had heard her sprout a lot of information that she was interested in knowing, but she could not help but still worry about the implications of her knowledge of her origins.

"Helen, my family have been searching for your bloodline to return to the family tree. There is no other thing. Worry not." Kheal said.

Helen couldn't care less about this, she sighed in relief as Kheal did not suspect her to be someone from Lady Wickshire's entourage.

"So, what now? Now you have gotten the information you wanted from testing me, are you going to keep teaching me?" Helen asked. She was interested in learning things she was no longer allowed to learn back in the Ligrel clan when she was hunted and had to flee.

"Sorry Helen, blood rage is such a rare thing even in the main bloodline. It was odd for someone of unknown origin to have it. Yes, I will teach you. When I bring you back to the clan in Sorventii, you will be able to follow what is happening."

"Good. As I am learning fast right now, it is good to continue. I was never a fast learner. It's better to ride on this good luck." Helen said.

"It is the blood rage."

"How?"

"Your bloodline must be so removed that you do not know of this. The blood rage helps your ability to learn." Kheal said and jumped down from the tree, "Let us go. We have to leave the valley now." she said and Lizzy joined her on the ground. The two dashed away towards the exit they had found before staying in the valley this long, they knew where all the traps were and avoided them with ease. Helen had gained martial skills these few days and did not find it hard to keep up with Kheal. They arrived at the exit and walked through with ease. Space warped and they found themselves under blazing sunlight. They had left the valley.

I am trying to return to posting Lucy Wickshire on the free one for people to keep reading. And those who have the extra cash can become patrons to read ahead. This is because reading paid work is stressing my reader rates as many people have just opted to stop. Right now, the other Lucy Wickshire has not caught up with this one in chapters, but go ahead and add it to your library and vote on it to get it up the charts. We will begin posting soon.
