?

Just then Lyn seemed to made up her mind about something. Slowly, she walked over to Devon and pressed her lips against his.

Devon: !!!

Dumbfounded, Devon did not do anything for a second it was only after comprehending what was happening did he regain his consciousness. She.. she kissed me? Although Devon was shocked, he gave in in the end, closed his eyes and kissed her back.

Devon was pleasantly surprised. All along, he thought the crush he had on Lyn was one-sided, so he didn't dare to tell her for fear of ruining their friendship. Yet today, Lyn was the one that took the initiative to kiss him. Although this was his first time, he was not nervous the slightest bit! Instead, he was tingling with excitement. He really wished that time would just stop there and then. Too bad, the higher the hopes, the greater the disappointment..

Out of the blue, he felt Lyn exerting force to push him away, grabbed some stuff and disappeared in a flash. Dumbfounded by what just happened, he froze for a few seconds to comprehend what just happened. Was it all a dream? He pinched himself to check.

Ouch!

Oh?

The kiss.. its real!

Devon was immensely happy. He'd thought that he could only kiss Lyn in his dreams. To think, dreams comes true after all!

But..why did Lyn suddenly pushed me away and left?

That was what Devon couldn't understand.

Was it a mistake? Did she do it so we will both forget the awkward incident?

There were soo many thoughts going on in his head at that moment that he'd completely forgotten about Lyn's curse. Not sure if it's because Devon thought too much or Lyn's curse was working or even both, Devon started to experience a head-splitting headache.

"Arghhh!"

the pain was so unbearable, it caused Devon to groan in pain although he had already developed a high endurance to pain over time of having to rely on no one but himself.

Perhaps, the pain was really too excruciating that no matter how immune he is to pain, it would still be unbearable.

Or perhaps, due to spending more time with Lyn, Deon was slowly letting someone care for him other than himself that he had less endurance for pain.

Whatever the cause, Devon fainted from pain. When he woke up, all the memories he had of Lyn ..were gone!

The first thing Devon saw when he woke up was his house of course. However, his house had had traces of mess everywhere. The kitchen sink had two rice bowls (without the rice of course), multiple dish bowls (without the dishes).

Weird.. why is there 2 bowls of rice when I'm the only one eating? And since when did I even cook so many dishes for myself? ..Surely I was not that desperate to get a bowl for Ken so that I won't feel like I'm eating alone? Eh that seems impossible, yet the only possible reason he could think of that justifies his actions. Seeing these, Devon already felt suspicious and confused, like something was missing..

But he didn't know what.

And that was not all!

The carpet that was usually as straight and flat as the ground, turned crumpled like a piece of paper. Not just the carpet, even his room, his bed was also quite messed up - especially the bed..

Was someone else here? But his parents were overseas and he would never let anyone in. Moreover, he lived in a landed property that have tight security. So how did anyone even broke in? How weird! He thought.

Devon was usually quite tidy and organised although he was a guy, and it's said that guys tend to be messy. Yet, Devon couldn't stand it if just a rag was not in place.

Seeing all the unusual mess in his house, Devon instantly knew that something was not right..

but what?

Did a thief came in? He knew the possibility was low, yet it was still possible and it doesn't hurt to check.

Immediately, he searched for Ken and his keys, money etc yet everything was intact. What shocked Devon more was that Ken seemed normal instead of having any signs of a fight as he would when he encounter suspicious men or any outsiders that brought weapons.

Strange huh. Feeling puzzled and confused, Devon could only think about it after putting everything back to where it was.

After finally clearing all the mess made by him or so Devon thought ( I mean he couldn't suspect that Ken is capable of such mess and like he's the only human in the house), it was already very late. When he went to sleep that night, he could barely sleep. His mind was filled with questions on what happened to his house and what was wrong with him to have made so much mess. He tried thinking of the possible reasons yet the reasons either sound wrong or feel wrong. It was only when he had run out of reasons to explain the unnatural phenomenon did he give in to sleep.
