Invitation

Hopefully, grandma Feng wouldn't have any connections with him.

The three were going up the hill in a moderate speed and Xia Yun was busily keeping both Mi Rong and grandma Feng company. She seemed to be the only the one who was talking while the two people at the back were only answering. Mi Rong and grandma Feng who was sitting at the back had never really liked initiating so much, they both had a quiet nature and strangely, they didn't feel awkward even when the car was quiet.

However, from time to time grandma Feng would occasionally initiate a small conversation with Mi Rong. Just like this time, "Mi Rong dear, what work do you do?"

Mi Rong was not prepared to be asked about her job, "Oh, I'm a freelancer." It was the first thing that came up to her mind and she was quite proud of her excuse. "I used to be a nurse."

When 'nurse' came up, Xia Yun found another topic talk about, "Grandma Feng, actually both me and Mi Rong were nurses before, but we both decided to quit. We found it wasn't for us, but do you what Mi Rong did to me, grandma Feng?"

"Hm?"

"Mi Rong actually left me there first, and left, just like that. I was actually quite mad with her at first, but then she gave me one of the best presents. Grandma Feng, can you guess what it was?" Xia Yun was like a child that had taken a vacation to meet her real grandma and wasn't even shy around grandma Feng. Maybe because grandma Feng had an easy going aura and looked quite understanding as she seemed to have seen most of the world.

Grandma Feng turned to look at Mi Rong who was helplessly smiling. Mi Rong was just happy that Xia Yun was happy for meeting grandma Feng. They seemed to get along, however, when Xia Yun brought up the present again, she only smiled because Xia Yun had been boasting around everywhere in the neighborhood and have been thanking hundreds of time for the present she had given her. This time was the same.

Grandma Feng kindly smiled then turned to ask Xia Yun, "What could it be that you're this happy, hm?"

"Ke ke, well, she brought a ticket for me to come home, here in this hometown! Then, she even bought back my parents old home for me! But the best thing is, she is going to visit me frequently from now on and we are now living together. Heaven has gifted me the best sister."

Grandma Feng laughed, "It seems you must be very happy about this, but Mi Rong, how on earth did you buy a house around this area. I heard from my grandson that it was quite expensive."

Indeed this neighborhood was extremely expensive and not many people would choose to live here, as it was also quite far from town. This town was very very secured from outsiders. However, it had not been so hard for Mi Rong to buy back Xia Yun's house, because of her Xuan enterprise was now a leading company. Xia Yun had actually come from a good background, but because of so many mishaps, Xia Yun's wings were broken.

Although the tangible processions were taken away from Xia Yun, it had never been the most important thing towards Xia Yun. True happiness was. She had always believed if she was able to have a house and three meals a day when she was perfectly fine. Her character got along with Mi Rong, as Mi Rong was not so different from her.

Even though Mi Rong had been a princess, but she believed that title which was easily given to her was just only a title, but hard-earned respect was more important to her. She and her brother would venture out to the world since young with their parents. Especially, to learn about their people's lifestyle.

Mi Rong composed herself from being in a trance. She thought of her family more often since it had been a very long time that they were together. The car had been silent for a few minutes, but the other two people in the car were anticipating Mi Rong's answer.

"Mi Rong? You alright?" It was Xia Yun who felt that something was going on with her friend.

"Ah? Oh, I'm sorry. Something came in my mind and I was lost for a while, but anyways, how I got it is a secret haha."

"Mi Ronggggg." Xia Yun could not help but whine. Out of the people in the car, she was the most curious and anticipated with Mi Rong's answer the most. On the other hand, grandma Feng only chuckled.

"Mi Rong ah, can you share it with this old friend of yours?"

"Keke, if I tell you it wouldn't be a secret anymore right?"

"Hey! Then, no more desserts tonight." Xia Yun gave her all in.

"Fine fine, of course, I saved up some money from my job silly. Also, grandma Feng, you can always come over." Mi Rong generally brushed the topic away.

"Hm, why not you two young ladies keep me accompany instead? I'm old and I'm quite bored these days if it was you two it would be great!"

"Well, in that case, grandma Feng as I am starting a coffee shop in three months time, so I won't be able to come over as much, but I'll send Mi Rong over."

"Oh wow, Xia Yun, when you come over, let's all bake together. Also, who likes playing Go(Chinese board game)?"

"What! Grandma Feng, did you just say Go? I love playing it. You can expect my presence often at your house then." Mi Rong's eyes lit brightly. It was her favorite game and since coming, nobody seemed to like playing it anymore.

"Ho ho, if you say so." Grandma Feng's face was smiling jollily as her wrinkles could be seen. However, she just looked like a very kind old grandma.

The ladies in the car were merrily talking to each other when they arrived in front of a big mansion. Although the mansion was big, it looked very cozy. Big trees and many different kinds of plants were planted around the garden. They all looked like they had been carefully taken care of.

"Ah, such a shame. Time flies. Alright, girls, I'll see you two around. I personally invite you to my house, you are free to come whenever."

Xia Yun enthusiastically answered, "Sure, we'll definitely come over." On the other hand, Mi Rong happily smiled, and her eyes were shining like stars ever since she finally found someone who liked Go.

Both Xia Yun and Mi Rong got out from the car to help grandma Feng to the front gates.

"Thank you, ladies. I look forward to seeing you two."

Then, the car drove off and grandma Feng slowly disappeared from their line of sight.
