The Truth About the Nefari.

Liu Wang Shu stared at them as he ate the first bite of his soup. It is first bite of Marthen food in years, and he is shocked by how bland it is. However, he is so strong at this point when he grimaces from the flavor they don't notice.

The young man spent the last three years getting treated to the best meat in all seven sanctuaries. The divine beasts, sometimes larger than the tallest buildings, would sometimes give up their flesh for a chance to lick him. He had no idea what else the extraordinary gene did, but apparently it made him taste and smell so good none of the beasts could ever think of chewing him.

Regardless, he looked over at Hui Yin with a smile on his face.

"Why don't you tell me about how strong the Nefari are, and if they are really that terrible I will marry both of you."

The mom, and Hui Yin immediately hugged each other.

"We are so glad to hear that! You're the first other person we've seen in this city in the last two years. We're so lucky you're a man."

Hui Yin let go of his hand after squeezing it tightly. "Well, since you want to know, we will tell you."

Liu Wang Shu nodded his head.

Divine beasts were fairly strong, and he was able to go head to head even with the infinity dragon up in seventh sanctuary. They had battled many times, and he had learned much from the dragon.

However, perhaps these men were stronger then Bu Bu.

"That's great. Do you know if the men are able to blow up a city with a punch?"

Hui Yin looked at her mom.

They both looked at each other confusedly. "Uhm, they are strong, however, they use spells. We've seen them destroy one building before with a spell. However, an entire city might be a stretch."

Liu Wang Shu nodded. "Well, then I should have no trouble destroying all of them."

He smiled as he prepared to get up and leave the table.

The food was so bad the sooner he got out of here, the better it would be.

"Wait! Wait! Wait!"

A small girl with pigtails ran out from the closet in the house they were in.

"You can't leave! My mother also needs a husband, and if you leave this will be bad."

Hui Yin looked over at the little girl she thought died. "Is that you Ai Li? I thought you guys died a few years ago?"

Ai Li laughed as she flexed her arm. "Ha, I could never die! I'm going to be a warrior!"

Liu Wang Shu bent down and took out a green egg from his storage device. He had found it at one of the great shrines in seventh sanctuary. It was a Mutant Egg that would bestow the girl with a gene necessary to start her journey.

"Ha, well, do you know what a genetic egg is little girl?"

He placed the egg in her hand as she jumped up with joy. "Yes, Yes, Yes! It gives you an ability like flight, transformations, and sometimes abilities like creating fires!"

Liu Wang Shu laughed and patted her on the head. "Yes, it does! It also can give you a very special gene. Why don't you eat it when I'm gone?" He pulled out three more eggs and placed them on the table.

"You guys each pick one. However, only eat one."

He smiled as he prepared to fly away.

Hui Yin looked confused as she stared down at the egg. "Uhm, were you in one of the sanctuaries, and you didn't come out even after the alert? Where exactly were you when the alarms were rung?"

The other six sanctuaries were all cleaned out before the battles. Many of the mutant beasts and below had all been killed, and the sacred creatures were hunted for gene eggs. Truthfully, such things were so rare now the girl immediately wanted to hide it. However, she could tell this man was incredibly strong. It was this sort of vibe that he gave off. It was almost as if he was a god! So, she didn't freak out in front of the first man she seen in years.

Basically, such qualities were extremely attractive to a girl like her. Especially when all she wanted was to be protected.

"Ah, I think I might have not been able to hear the alarm where I was."

Liu Wang Shu really valued protecting people and helping them out. However, he almost forgot he had the eggs on him until the girl brought it up.

Even when he was younger, he was known as very generous.

He was extremely hard working, and always cared about the people around him. However, there was one thing he also cared about, and that was his life. Part of him really wanted to stay and marry these two women. However, he had a few gene eggs that boosted his speed to a profound level. He wasn't too worried about escaping if something went wrong.

The genetic eggs were provided by a lightning divinity coyote that was friends with Wolf Tyrant. After they had a battle, the victor was given the privilege of giving him a genetic egg in exchange for a few minutes of licking. It sort of became a currency when he was in the seventh sanctuary. He wondered if he also tasted good to girls.

Regardless, now was not the time to be licked. Even if he wanted to be licked, he wouldn't feel safe until he at least tried to battle the Nefari.

Hui Yin smiled at Wang Shu and sighed. "Well, since you were safe for all these years, perhaps there is a reason that you can't tell us. Am I correct about that."

Wang Shu nodded. "Yes, if I told you, you probably wouldn't believe me. So, how about I won't embarrass myself today. However, all I ask is you tell me where you think the Nefari are."

He pulled up a chair and sat down once more.

The soup was still there, and he hoped they wouldn't ask him to eat it.

"Uhm, well me and my mom have heard there's a base where they are at. However, its roughly 5000 miles away. The last of the gene saints are there, and apparently they're battling the some of the higher ranked Nefari. It's seriously the last city on this planet with any defense systems left. Me and my mom, unfortunately, weren't brave enough to go there before the war started."

Liu Wang Shu smiled and prepared to leave. However, before he could go outside he saw the girl had already put the egg in her mouth.

He laughed before that same girl came up to give him a hug.

"Well, I'll go and try and protect you, so you can eat many more eggs and become very strong!"

The girl giggled as Hui Yin and her mom also hugged him. They shamelessly threw their entire bodies on him, and Hui Yin even whispered into his ears. "This is all yours, so come back in one piece!"

Wang Shu smiled before he walked back out towards the buildings burning with an eternal flame.

"I'll go check it out and be right back!"

He waited until the girls let go of him, and then proceeded to walk outside.

"Well, which way is the base again?"

He realized he forgot to ask them for the exact direction. However, his eyes seemed to be picking something up in the distance. Luckily, he could see clearly for tens of miles.

"Oh yeah! The base is in the east," Hui Yin screamed out the window. Wang Shu nodded and took off towards the sun.
