Synopsis

The young man had heard his name before. It was mentioned in tomes of old, in historical scrolls of generations past. A tale once told of a battlemage knight with indomitable will and unbelievable prowess. Sir Gavienus, he was called, The Horned Knight. A name feared by both peasants and kings alike.

He pledged no loyalty to anyone, gave no mercy to whom were against him, lift no fingers for the poor and the innocent. He was cruel, he was strong, and he was arrogant.

The knight did not deserve any happiness in life, it was said. Hence when his heart fell for the love of his life, he was cursed. An unnamed and unbreakable curse. It consumed him, stole his sanity, and made him murder that very woman he had loved the most. Like a victor over time itself, the curse even turned him immortal. He reigned over the world, as its people wept. A dark age dawned in his name until death somehow found him.

So went the tale of old. But he stood now in front of the youth. An undead, resurrected by a man long since gone.

"Her name is Euchre. She is the oldest immortal alive. Boy, you really mean to defeat her?"

The young man nodded to him, to Sir Gavienus. "Yes, Master."
