Azure Hair

By the time he found this water stream, June had already eaten eight of the nine fruits during the journey, reducing his headache from ten percent to less than one percent which almost felt like a tiny tickle in between his eyes.

June put down the Tinum and went towards the stream of water, dipping his hands in the small pond at the bottom of the short waterfall. The water was a cold but coming down from the mountains, June expected that much.

After drinking the water from the pond, he washed his face and took a look at his reflection. His face looked a bit younger, around the age of eighteen or nineteen, but the difference was that his facial hairs were totally gone.

Luckily the hairs on his head were still there, but their color...… was not exactly what he expected.

"What the hell, I can't believe it!" "They are actually sky blue!"

Well they were not exactly sky blue but actually 'azure' in color. The difference was similar to the difference in silver and platinum.

While focusing on the reflection of his azure hair, he suddenly stopped. A flash of memory went past his eyes so quickly that he couldn't even catch a glimpse of it, but he did not think about it too much.

"Not that I mind the color, but why does it look like I am in a boy band or something."

His face looked just too innocent, his height was around five feet ten inches, which was same as his height before the incident and his complexion looked a bit more fair than before.

"Well doesn't matter if there is no one to see me."

"Any ways the good thing is that now, after a long time I can finally have a nice clean bath." He sighed in his heart. It is not so easy to suddenly adapt to the natural environment of jungle when you are not used to it.

It was afternoon and after trekking continuously for more than seven hours straight June was feeling a bit uncomfortable, especially in his leaf costume.

So, he removed his pouch which had a single red fruit left in it and kept it near the shores of the pond. Then he took a look at the Tinum who had slipped into the grass by the side of the pond.

"Looks like he doesn't like water too much." June whispered to himself in amusement.

Then he removed the rest of his leafy clothing and went inside the pond to wash himself clean in the small waterfall.

June started washing himself comfortably under the water fall. He was not very eager to wear those leafy designer costume again so instead of getting out of the pond he kept swimming in the water.

He just could not help himself after all he was feeling so relaxed that while he was in the water. June felt like all his stress, that was accumulated from whole day of trekking, was slowly getting washed away with each minute that he spent in the pond.

Just outside the little pond, Tinum was looking at the floating June. It looked like he was waiting for him to get out of the water so that he can once again get a ride on June's shoulder.

Without any signs, slowly the evening had arrived, but June was just too busy relaxing in the pond that he didn't even notice the evening or the little Tinum waiting by the shores.

While June was lying comfortably, suddenly the headache that was left in the form of a tickle in between his eyes burst out with a surprise.

Out of instinct June turned his head towards the shore to look for the little Tinum, but he could not see the Tinum but instead there was something else that became the reason for his sudden outburst of headache.

"Oh shi…"

Those were the last words that came out of his mouth before a strong pain hit June from inside his forehead that was focused right in between his eyes exactly like before.

It happened the moment June turned his head to look at the cause of his sudden headache. Only this time the pain was around five hundred percent of the original one and was still increasing rapidly.

This time the pain was much more intense than before, when he saw that silver eyed snake eating that brown bird, but different from last time now he could guess the reason for the increment in this pain.

In front of June there was a group of a few young women and girls standing with clay pots in their hands, and they were all staring at June non stop with their eyes wide open, for who knows how long.
