Quick Experiment

After giving a little sigh in his heart, he went inside his broken wooden hut and once again he properly checked out its conditions from both inside as well as outside while not forgetting to take another careful look at the open roof.

Thankfully, all of the four walls of this wooden hut were intact, but the door was three fourth broken, and there was not any kind window an any of the walls, and let's not even mention the missing roof.

But June did not mind the missing parts of the hut too much, or rather he was too preoccupied to mind anything.

"Keeping yourself busy can also be a kind of meditation", June thought within his mind while taking a look at the relaxed Shadow Leaf Serpent infant who was chilling on his left shoulder.

After contemplating for a while, he got himself to start working on his new home by first cleaning out a little from the inside, which was enough to make up a little space for him to prepare his stuff and proceed with his plans comfortably, and this whole cleaning process only took him a couple of minutes.

His eyesight, although it was not as good as his other senses, was still much better than the eyes of an average person.

With a few minutes of effort, June had cleaned the space inside the room and after enough cleaning he simply sat down on the ground and kept all of his belongings in front of him in a proper arrangement, along with the dried up fire wood that he had collected with much physical effort.

Then he took out one of the pieces of wood from the bundle that he had kept near his belongings and used his knife to properly carve out a curved shaped wooden bowl from it. He did not hurry in any way but took his own sweet time almost enjoying the carving all along the steady process.

Then from another piece of wood that was left over while cutting the shape of wooden bowl, he made a wooden pestle.

After making a proper bowl and pestle from the dried up block of wood, he took out the four portions of those 'unique smelling plants', that were mainly 'herbs' that he had kept in the four different leaf pouches which were hanging on his belt, that he had collected from the jungle after roaming around for more than two hours with the help of his amplified sense of "SMELL" and "TASTE".

Then he started to proceed further with his plans because now came the part that June enjoyed the most.

It was time for some quick, short term experiments.

First, he took out a small portion of herbs from each of those four different leafy pouches and started to mix them together in order to create some original, delicious, aromatic and more diverse mixture of the spice flavors.

Luckily, he only required his usual sense of 'smell' and 'taste' and not his sense of 'sight' in order to perform this type of experiment, after all the room was getting too dark for June even with his above average eyesight, to clearly see what kind of color was being formed while making those new tasty mixed flavors of spices.

After a lot of hit and trial with his amplified sense of 'SMELL' and his amplified sense of 'TASTE', or rather mainly with his nose and tongue, the experiment with the spices went on for around a little more than thirty minutes.

He did not stop, until he was satisfied enough with his results, June had finally created 'four' different mixture of spices ranging from the least spicy flavor to the most spicy just like a red hot chili flavor.

Considering the shortage of time, June was actually very upset that he had to stop his experiments, otherwise he might have been able to create an even more perfect combination from those four herbs, but since it couldn't be helped, he had to stop with just getting these satisfactory results.

It was not like he was disappointed with the four different flavors of the mixed spices that he had created as a result of his experiments, but the feeling was a bit unsettling.

To June it felt as if he was writing an exam, and although he could score more than ninety percent of the marks in that exam, but due to the quickly approaching time limit, he would have to make do with just the fifty percent of the total marks that is almost equal to a little more than the passing marks for him.
