The Professor's Inheritence.

The room was gorgeous, and it didn't take very long for Desmond to fall asleep. He slept on a king's size bed that seemed to be made for the royal family. He even suspected this was where the royal family probably stayed if they ever visited the academy.

Currently, Purple Ivy Citadel was under control of the Imperial Family. The founder of the kingdom happened to be the very same man in the royal castle today that was there five thousand years ago. He was only alive because of his rigorous cultivation, and prowess.

It was founded before the wars started 2000 years ago. There was a demon king sent down from the other realms to claim this branch of the human federation.

However, the people of the United Human Federation sent down a comparable force. The war had been going on since then, and had led to countless deaths of both devils, demons, and humans. However, the war wouldn't seize until a side was wiped out, or their main portal was destroyed.

Regardless, Desmond was more interested in his comfy pillow. He also had a gigantic bathroom, as big as his old house, and a bookshelf full of cultivation manuals. Presumably, it was to keep him from having to go to the library.

He fell asleep, nearly instantly, not daring to question if this day was reality or fiction.

'I'll have too… thank the gods for this by working hard tomorrow…' Desmond said as he drifted off into sleep.

….

The morning came quickly and Desmond immediately hopped to his feet.

His routine began with putting on his white uniform. He put on the socks, the shoes, and then opened the door not even daring to look at the clock.

He couldn't be late on his first day as an assistant professor! However, as he ran out into the hallway, he felt himself bump into something round, almost like the pillow on his bed.

"Plop!"

He looked up and noticed a round belly was in his face. Above him, as he picked up his head, there was a fat man with a warrior's hat on his head.

Prince Ray Imperial

Motives

- Is extremely hungry

- Is hoping to find someone to talk to

- Snuck away from his father, the king, to find people his age.

- Has a desire to find a commander for his army in the upcoming prince competition.

The warriors were the mascot of the city, and he was presumably wearing the hat instead of a crown. He would usually be wearing a crown befitting his princely body. Yet, he would easily be found by his father's men if he took it with him. He looked down at the man who bumped into him and smiled before he stuck out his hand.

"You need to watch where you are going, man. Yet, it's nice to see another person here in this school. I thought I was alone…"

Desmond scratched his head before he held out his hand. "Ha, no worries. However, why don't I treat you to breakfast. What's your name by the way." Desmond was pulled up before he looked over at the

chubby fellow next to him. He was small and looked roughly his age. However, he had this wisdom present behind his chubby cheeks.

"Ah, my name is… Ray Impale! I desperately need some guidance to get down stairs. I'm horrible with directions, could you help me out?"

Desmond laughed and obviously accepted this request. They spent a few minutes talking before they ended up in the cafeteria. He liked this prince already and was glad the royal family wasn't as spoiled as he imagined. He sat down at the table before Ray 'Impale' went to go buy them some food. Luckily, the time on his clock was an hour off… It seemed to be a joke from his professor, or something like that.

Moments later, Ray was back at the table with a gigantic grin on his face.

He threw down a variety of eggs, rice, demon beast, and heavenly chicken. It looked like enough to feed a hundred people. However, than Ray started eating. It was like he was a truck and he had to deliver the food to his stomach. Moments later, the entire table seemed to be tilting towards him. Desmond just grabbed a small plate with rice and sausage on it to try and keep the peace.

However, moments later, he noticed some sounds spreading through the halls. It was thirty minutes before his first class, and he could no longer stay hidden from the motivation of girls. It was like his entire life they were a mystery, however, now they were going to have their motivations spelled out to him. He had no idea what to expect.

"Jasmine, are you really sure Desmond isn't in a relationship," Her friend Teresa asked for the fifteenth time. "Do you really think you have a shot of being together with him?"

Jasmine sighed. "I don't know, Teresa. However, if you keep talking out loud like this one of the other girls might catch on…"

Teresa nodded her head. "Oh, I'll shut up… Is that what you're trying to say?

Jasmine nodded before her and a hundred other girls walked into the lunch room.

Desmond couldn't help looking over, at this moment, and began staring at the girls. He felt that same feeling that he did with the professor, and Ray.

Jasmine Salvo

- is hungry and wants to eat breakfast

- is hoping to find a way to sit next to Desmond

- is hoping today goes well, and her friend doesn't mess up the plan.

At the same time, Ray had just finished eating and noticed his friend was staring over at the girls walking in. He had been here for a few days, and never had seen their gorgeous uniforms.

All the girls were dressed in a white pearl skirts and had black stockings underneath those skirts. He began to get excited as Desmond sighed. Apparently, this guy was as simple as could be. He liked women and food.

Regardless, he was beginning to wonder what this plan of Jasmine was. And he suddenly had a nagging feeling he should move.

"Boom!"

Desmond dodged sideways out of instinct.

He had no idea why he had the desire to move, perhaps it was an instinct that he inherited from the professor. Yet, a second later he felt an odd sensation in his back.
