He almost felt like there were two blue orbs looking into his eyes.
He ignored it before he got out of bed and got ready to go downstairs.
The inn had three floors, and he was on the third floor. From the missions he had done, he now had 2000 currency, which could keep him alive for 3 months.
However, he didn't want to just live.

Marcus was aghast when he realized there was guns in the system. As far as he remembered, there was no guns in this world. He remembered hearing an update was scheduled for the next patch. Instantly, he had 500 less currency on him. He sighed before he walked out the door and found himself heading towards the lobby.
When he arrived, the man was gone from last night and a girl in a red top was leaning over the desk. She looked at him and smiled as her shirt dragged loosely against the surface. She was shining with the sun beaming through the port window.
"Hi, you must be Marcus. I was told you needed a map." She bent down a little further over the desk and handed it to him.
"Yup, thanks. I guess I'll see you later. Save my room for me, will you?" He grabbed it before she sighed. She couldn't help but wish she could leave with him.
….
Twenty minutes later
Marcus arrived at the house he was supposed to rob of Sam's wife. He picked a fruit from his employer's tree before he saw Sam smiling and running towards him.
"Hey, did you get my eggs," Sam laughed and ran out the doorway.
The house was not too far from the main castle of the Liberato King. Only a rich man like Sam had cause to live near the castle.
During the war no nobles usually died. Sam was a noble since he was staying here. You could either buy a title or be born with it. He had heard from Zack that Sam was rich at a young age. It was safe to assume he had money, so he didn't feel bad he gave him the wrong eggs.

Marcus smiled as he watched the man put the eggs in his pocket. He waved him over towards the house where the two guards were waiting.
"Hey, these are two guys I'd like you to meet. These are my body guards Antonio, and Marl" They both stuck out their hands before Marcus greeted them with a head nod.
A second later, he was inside the house sitting down looking at the wife he was supposed to 'rob'. She was beautiful and looked like diamonds were littered on her red dress. Unfortunately, she seemed sullen as she sat on the counter.
Sam came over and sat down next to him. A second later, he pulled out the envelope to pay Marcus.
"You've been really great, and I appreciate it! Without you, I don't think I'd be able to keep my wife around. Now that we have the peacocks she likes I have another job for you."
Marcus laughed before he took the envelope. He didn't spend time counting it.
"You seem like you're a thief if you don't mind me saying. I'm actually a fan of thiefs… and uhm… I need something a little bit cheaper from the auction house. The first floor has an item called the ward of infidelity. I'm hoping you can get it for a tenth the price?"
Marcus nodded his head before he smiled hesitantly. "Do you really not trust your wife that much? She's sitting around all sullen because you don't trust her."
Sam sighed when Marcus said this. He came in a little bit closer, so he could whisper. "She's two seconds away from leaving me. If I get that ward, if she cheats she dies."
The ward of infidelity was a defensive charm. However, all it did was defend a women from cheating. It was roughly 200,000 currency to buy from the auction house as Sam explained. He didn't want to spend 200,000 when he felt Marcus would get it for 20,000.
"Ha, I promise I'll get that ward for you, and make sure your wife never leaves you. I'll have it to you by tonight."
Sam smiled before he gave him a pat on the back. "I knew you looked like a thief! Hey, honey, guess what… you're never leaving me ever!"
The wife rolled her eyes before she picked up a cup in toast. "Well congratulations honey! Does this mean you'll finally trust me now, and start letting me outside more often?"
He laughed before he nodded his head and waved Marcus over towards the door.
The two boy guards opened the door and let him out into the world again. It felt like he was in a prison, and he almost felt bad about the girl having to stay. However, now he had to decide when to kidnap her. Of course, it would have to be after he gave Sam the Ward and got paid.
