Back To The First Time

"Ouch! Hurt!"

Jing Yi swore that she heard the frog spoke.

"What the…" She was scared silly. She took several steps backward, attempting to run. But then her steps stalled right at the edge of the cliff. She remembered that there was no way out from this place!

Jing Yi didn't have any other choices except to face that frog. She turned around and stared at it in vigilance.

"Hey, missy! You've just committed a violent act against a helpless little animal. Don't you feel embarrassed?", the frog jumped up and down while yelling angrily toward Jing Yi.

"You can talk. You are obviously not an ordinary frog!", she rebuked. Seeing a little frog jumping around and cursing at her, Jing Yi didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

"This is a dream… yes. I must be dreaming!", she murmured. She nearly had a mental break down when suddenly the frog leap to her side in one movement.

"At least here, I am just a mere frog", it said ambiguously.

Mentally, Jing Yi was an adult. That was for sure. But still, she had her own fear, especially toward… a talking green and slimy thing.

"Don't come near! Go away!", she shooed the frog with a slightly tremble voice. If a frog could talk, then it maybe had an ability to devour a human being too, right (?). Jing Yi decided that took a precaution was better than to sorry later.

The frog had an urge to roll its eyes, but it couldn't. So it could only be content by blinking its eyes several times. It stared at Jing Yi with loathing.

"You're the one who threw me first onto the ground! What are you taking me as for? A garbage? How disrespectful! And you're just a mere 10 years old kid!", the frog was huffing here and puffing there, nagging non-stop.

[Taking you as … a frog…]

Jing Yi was totally speechless. In the end, she thought that the frog wasn't dangerous at all, but she still put her guard up.

"Then, what are you?", she carefully inquired.

The frog didn't immediately answer her question as it was still panting, exhausted because of too much jumping around and cursing.

[This frog has quite a temperament…]

Jing Yi rubbed her brows, couldn't stand to hear anymore.

The angry frog finally calm down. Seemed like it didn't want to bother with her anymore and quickly jumped away.

"Wait!", Jing Yi hurriedly chased the frog. "You haven't answer my question yet. What is this place? How can I get out from here?"

Hearing those questions, the frog abruptly stopped jumping. Jing Yi stood still at her place, observing it from behind.

"I am just a frog.", it finally spoke. "This place… has no name. No one has ever come to this place before. You are the first."

Jing Yi was stunned.

[I am the first? Then how could I ended up stuck here?]

The frog turned its body, focusing its red and rounded eyes to Jing Yi.

"You shouldn't be here. And I don't understand why either. So don't bother to ask anymore.", it stated sternly.

[Don't bother to ask anymore?]

She suddenly had an urge to catch and swallowed the frog wholly. The only thing except her that could speak was the frog. If not asking it, to whom she should ask then?

Jing Yi didn't know what to say anymore. In the end she sat on the ground and heavily sighed.

"You really don't know how to get out from here?", she asked for the last time. No matter what she didn't want to stay in this place forever. There were so much things that she wanted and still had to do. Moreover, she really didn't want to leave Lin Feng Yu and the others without saying goodbye. Just by

remembering them, she felt a sudden sadness.

"Nope. Don't know.", the frog replied.

[What a let down!]

She facepalmed. In the end both human and frog fell silent. They stared at each other in a stifling atmosphere. For god-knows-how-long, no one of them wanted to yield.

Jing Yi started to feel tired. Her eyes were sore. Finally, she couldn't hold it anymore and then yawned.

"Little frog… don't you feel tired? Let's sleep?", she asked while rubbing her eyes. At that time she suddenly realized that although all her surrounding were covered by mist, she didn't feel cold a tad bit. Even her clothes were dry.

The frog didn't answer her. It stayed still at its place motionlessly.

"Little frog?", she lifted her brows and called for it once again.

[Don't want to speak anymore? Fine! We'll stay together for a long time anyway. Let's see how much longer you can hold back.]

As if it could read her mind, the frog finally yelled irritatedly, "Fine! Fine! I'll try to ask then. Wait and don't talk anymore!"

She had not even reacted, before she saw the frog slowly closed its eyes, as if it was sleeping.

[Now what?]

Jing Yi glared to the frog suspiciously. She wondered if it was really sleeping. As time passed by, the frog still wouldn't open its eyes. She started to feel that her eyes were getting heavy. When she finally couldn't hold it anymore, she slowly closed her eyes too.

But, really maybe that frog was her natural enemy.

The moment her eyes shut, the frog suddenly leap forward and roared in anger, "What the f**k! D**n system! What do you mean by re-write? Go to hell!"

Jing Yi was so d**n surprised that she shrieked and staggered backward.

"What the f**k is wrong with you?", she exploded. She patted her pathetic flat chest, feeling the heart inside was pounding so fast. Also, the sleepiness she felt earlier had vanished completely. She really wanted to eat that frog right now, right here! Alive!

As if it didn't care about the raging Jing Yi, the frog then casually said, "I can show you the way out now. How? Do you still want to leave or not?"

The moment she heard what the frog had just said, the anger inside her was gone instantly. Jing Yi was halted for seconds, before she suddenly jumped forward and exclaimed in excitement, "Seriously? You won't lie to me, will you? Of course i want to leave! Hurry, hurry, show me the way!"

At the moment Jing Yi thought that she wouldn't mind if the frog in front of her wanted to nag or shout at her, or even curse her. Nothing was more important than leaving this place immediately. Thus, she peered at the frog intensely, waiting for it to speak.

The frog blinked twice. "Actually you can say that partly this is my fault. So I think that I need to say sorry to you beforehand. Now I will send you back. But remember, after you wake up, don't panic! Just live your days as it should be! I can guarantee that this won't happen again for the second time."

While Jing Yi was still trying to comprehend everything, the frog suddenly became bigger and bigger. Obviously hundred folds larger than the previous size!

Jing Yi was so shocked at the sight that she couldn't move or make any sound. She held her breath and standing stiffly at her place. Nevertheless, only her eyes were slowly moving upward.

[Holy…], she even couldn't finish her cursing...

The frog was now grinning broadly. It was so weird to the point of become frightening. Jing Yi was at the brink of fainted, before she heard it finally spoke thunderously, "Have a nice trip. Little Jing Yi…"

The next moment she felt that the ground under her feet was collapsed. She wanted to scream but she couldn't. The only thing she could do was to let herself fell down. She was petrified and all of her energy was lost as everything around her had slowly swallowed by the white thick mist…

She slowly regained her consciousness. In front of her was a familiar sight of her bed canopy.

[Did I make it back?]

Jing Yi inhaled heavily. What had just happened was very absurd. She refused to accept it!

[What a nightmare], she sighed.

She decided to lie down for a while as she re-arranging her chaotic mind. Inside, she was very grateful that she managed to come back successfully.

Jing Yi pondered for a long time, not realizing that the day was getting dark. At the time she looked out through the window, the moon was already high up in the sky.

She suddenly felt hungry. At the moment, Lin Feng Yu's sub-ordinates should have arrived. Thinking that she still had something to discuss, Jing Yi decided to get up from bed and prepare her blueprints.

She propped her upper body up to the sitting position. But at the time she made a single move, she felt pain all over her body.

Bewildered, she tilted her head, try to figure out the source of the pain. Currently she felt like she had been hit by a truck. She looked down. The next moment she was so shocked that she rendered speechless.

She touched her chest. And then her forehead. There was a bandage on it. And then her right eyes, her right cheeks...

[What the heck is happening?], she screamed inwardly. Chill was creeping down on her back as she saw the gray dirty clothes she wore. It was the very same clothes that she wore when the first time she woke up last month! And these injuries…

She didn't realize that she was trembled so hard at the moment. The only thing inside of her mind was : she had returned to the first time she woke up last month!
