Daguel The Dissolver

As the deadly pitch black water rained down, Salvatore did his best to shield himself beneath the large oar for the level of corrosiveness of each drop was so great that as they collided with the large raft they effortlessly continued down, melting thru almost a foot of wood. Fortunately the rain lasted only for a few seconds however it still had managed to destroy his large oar for it now more closely resembled a piece of Swiss Cheese than a solid piece of wood.

Discarding the oar with some regret, he looked up towards the bubbling water at the exact moment the source of the violent explosion emerged from the inky black depths of the polluted lake. Focusing on the dark silhouette behind a curtain of pitch black water, he breathlessly waited for the unknown entity to reveal itself. As the curtain of pitch black water finally settled, he discovered that a massive humanoid monster had suddenly appeared directly in front of his raft.

Studying the massive humanoid monster which despite being submerged up to its waist still managed to tower over him, he quickly estimated that it was over 25ft tall. However its appearance was ghastly for it was composed of rotting putrid flesh tinged a yellowish green, and was leaking a black ooze from its pours which evaporated once it contacted the air causing it to be shrouded by a thin cloud of black smoke.

It face was a hideously construct of melted flesh and pitch black bones which would cause even the most evil of men to have terrible nightmares, while its eyes were two soulless green flames which radiated an immeasurable amount of malevolence towards the living.

Focusing on the terrifying monstrosity before him, his [god sight] effortlessly revealed its identity along with most of its information.

Glancing at the window of information, he quickly noted the key points before returning his attention to the giant foe before him. From what he had read this Toxic Zombie Lord, Daguel The Dissolver was obviously the source of the lakes pollutions.

After studying Daguel with an appraising eye for several seconds, he plainly said, "Well now, I do believe I've located the problem. Hmm,....this is gonna take some work."

While he was study it, Daguel was trying to sense him. Daguel, like most undead was unable to actually see for he had no actual eyes. Instead, like most undead he possessed the passive Skill [Life Detection] which enabled him to magically perceive the life force of the living as a bright glowing silhouette. The stronger the life force, the brighter the light, which is why it was so hard to hide from the undead for the only way you could get rid of your life force was to die.

This was also one of the main reasons the undead hated the living, for how would you like to constantly have your eyes filled with blindingly bright lights. However, the reason Daguel was struggling to sense Salvatore was because the shape and brightness of his silhouette had actually grown smaller and duller the closer he came towards him.

As a Zombie Lord Daguel could sense life from over a 1,000ft away. Yet, what had first appeared as a familiar human shape silhouette, blazing as bright as a noon day sun now appeared like a tiny dull speck of light similar to a fly. This irregularity was a first for Daguel and was the main reason why he was slowly scanning his surroundings.

Of course the reason why Daguel was having such a problem was due to Salvatore's reflexive habit of suppressing his presence. Suppressing you presence was a common technique employed by all hunters and killers alike in order to sneak up on their target.

Although the degree of suppression varied amongst most, never before had there been someone who could conceal their presence enough to hide from the undead, especially an undead lord.

But due to Salvatore's nine stances of potential and the insane amount of physical training he daily underwent, he had managed to achieve perfect mastery over his entire body, a feat which most would find impossible.

Because of this he could manipulate every particle of his body to some degree, enabling him to change his presence to mimic other people or animals and even reduce it to a tiny speck no bigger than an insect. After years of constant fighting, he would reflexively suppress his presence down to a single dull speck whenever he was in a dangerous situation.

This is what had confused Daguel, for the moment Salvatore had hoped aboard his giant raft he had reflexively begun to suppress his presence, making him virtually undetectable to the living, and surprisingly even more so the dead.

However both Salvatore and Daguel were unaware of this, in fact Daguel was currently rather frustrated, for this was the first time he had encountered such a situation in over a thousand years. As he continued to relentlessly search he carefully recalled when he had first seen the life sign as bright as a blazing sun. Only a few minutes ago he had been stalwartly guarding within the murky depths of the lake.

As a silent undying sentinel he remained submerged beneath the turbulent waters of the waterfall, ceaselessly watching for intrusion. Suddenly he sensed a living entity invade the area he was safeguarding. Immediately he rose to confront the foolish intruder, for he existed for only one reason, to protect the master, this was his eternal purpose, and all who dared to approach without the masters permission must be destroyed.

As he focused on the blazing human shaped silhouette, he suddenly was confused as it quickly shrunk as it grew nearer. Now that he emerged all he could see was a single mote of light, yet he continued to search for the blindingly bright silhouette he had seen only moments before.
