Preparations for the future

After witnessing Fang Hua glowing old magi Hua was pleased to see that his spiritual energy was leaking. after stopping the spiritual energy from spreading any further he picked up Fang who was already awake from Hua stopping the energy from leaking.

"Hmph, you could be of use in the future" he snorted after putting him down again before going to the storage and picking up some baby food and started feeding him again "this has started to become a chore..*sigh* I brought this upon myself I guess"

2 - 3 hours later

"oh yeah I need to pick the baby clothes from Cheng" Hua said after getting up from the bed and going outside to visit the tailor.

10 minutes later

"well Cheng, are the baby clothes ready?"

"hmph I was waiting for you all day you old fogie, the clothes were finished ages ago. don't underestimate the skills of an old tailor" Cheng said after rubbing his long beard.

the clothes were rather mediocre but he expected nothing less from such a remote village such as this one, Hua nodded after paying the tailor and picking up the clothes and leaving, not after hearing a 'come again' from inside though.

Back at the shack he was ready to dress the baby but not after seeing that Fang has already started glowing again which put Hua in a daze "you bastard you have a lot of energy don't you?"

he dressed up little Fang in his new clothes but not after giving a 'you look ugly' look to him,

he picked him and started checking his pulse for the amount of energy he has 'hmm not bad for a brat that has been only recently born, if you were born in a sect family you would already be the focus for the cultivation materials'

"next is your affinity..hmm" Old magi quickly looked disappointed at Fangs affinity "hmph..painfully average, you gotta work hard to impress me kid" he put him back on the bed but not after hearing him cry again. "*sigh* I guess its that time of day" he changed his clothes already, 'guess I gotta get a can to put his shit in"

20 minutes later

'hmm what can I do to train this brat.. all I have are scrolls for painfully weak spells and martial techniques from the peasants' he has a low collection of scrolls that the peasants have given him, as they themselves can't cultivate. "tribute" they say so he can give them eternal life or restore their youth back or some bullshit.

he didn't even spare a glance at them once he put them in his cabinet. 'I guess i'll trade them for something useful in the town, I'll just teach him the basics of breathing techniques and some basic spells to get him going when he reaches 5 or 6 years old, if I am alive at that point' Hua chuckled after thinking that.

Night has already fallen and the little brat is still asleep, the Old magi went out to the village's "The swan" which was where all the old and young people went to drink their asses off and start regretting it the next day. he usually doesn't go there as he doesn't drink himself, he just goes there when he is bored to talk with the locals.

After going in the pub everyone looked at him but not for long before they turned back to drink or talk with their friends, "Oi! Old magi! didn't know you were the drinking type eh?" a loud fat lady waved at him, she was obviously miss Mei the local merchant.

after sitting next to her she started blabbering on about how there is no men for her and how all of them are cowards who can't even fight a rabbit or something like that, he was already used to her loud way of talking so he wasn't surprised in the least when the young people in the pub were having their heads turned to look at her.

"So what are you doing here you old fogie?, is the kid making you wanna quit already?" Mei said after taking a big gulp of the her beer and letting out a big burp.

"*sigh* no, I'm thinking of trading some of my old scrolls for some useful techniques for when he grows up, after all i'm not an immortal who will guide him forever" Hua said after looking at miss meI.

he remembers when she first started talking to him, he thought that all of the people here considered him an old monster or something but he didn't care honestly. he used to the looks they used to give him but not after this fat lady started chatting him up, after realising that Old magi was nothing but an old miserable man she corrected everyone on how he's just a nice old guy which made things easier for him so he was grateful for her.

Mei had no idea what the old magi was thinking about "That's true I guess , but trading scrolls eh? I guess I can help you out with that, just let me know tomorrow as its the day i have to go to Forging Sky town to sell some stuff, just let me know what type of scroll you want and i'll try my best to get it for you"

"Thank you Mei, I truly appreciate it" Hua said after bowing before the shocked Mei.

"Haha don't sweat it Old magi, this is only natural, you are my friend after all" she said after waving her hands back and forth.
