"So what happened last night?" I ask softly and feel him freeze before sighing and saying "Someone tried to hurt Lilith but don't worry, I took Ren and a few men and dealt with them." He hugs me closer before letting go and getting up. I watch the muscles work along his back as he makes his way to the bathroom and sigh. 


It seems like he doesn't want to go into detail with me but I guess I don't blame him. I don't know if I want to know why he was covered in blood. I sigh again and stretch before getting up. Rune walks out and gives me a quick kiss on the forehead before he leaves. I watch the door close with a frown. Why does it feel like something has happened... he's acting distant.


I shake my head and find Fig slowly waking up. "Wake up sleepy head.. Where did you go last night?" I say walking to him and petting his soft fluffy fur. "I told you... I was playing with the fairies." He says and rolls over rubbing his face. "It was late last night, the fairies would have been sleeping." I say not backing down.


His little face scrunches up and says "Who says they sleep when the sun goes down?" This time I'm frowning as I say "They all disappear when the sun goes down and everything gets quiet..." He starts laughing while saying "They just go underground! They like to play all the time and hardly ever sleep. Once they go underground they have a party of sorts." Fig says and runs to the tray of fruits in the room by the door.


Huh... I didn't know that. I decide not to ask anymore and jump in the shower to get ready for the day. I need to learn how to fight and if Rune won't teach me then I'll just have to find someone who will.


After hours of asking nearly ever male I'm about to break down and ask the fat, old and chubby cook if he'd be willing to teach me something... anything! I watch the old man kneading the bread and sigh.. I wouldn't be able to learn anything from this man except how to feed my enemies. 


This had to be Rune's doing. No one was willing to help me and they all turned me down with a polite decline or made up some kind of excuse. Some of the soilders would even turn and start power walking away to avoid me... I need to have a word with Rune. 


I push away from the table and decide to track Rune down but along the way I hear a commotion. I stop and notice it's the front of the castle by the entrance so I make my way over and I stop in surprise.


Surprise
