Morning After

The next morning I wake up hungry and sore in all the right places. I roll over and find that Rune is gone but a note was left in his place telling me to rest as long as I needed. If I need anything at all.. all I had to do was call. I smile and decide to get up and shower and find food myself.

After a hot shower I open the bedroom door to find Fig sitting with his little arms crossed and glaring. "Oh Fig... I'm so sorry I got a little... busy." I say in a lame attempt to explain why I didn't keep my word about sleeping in my own bed so he wouldn't be left alone.

He continued to glare and said "The only way I'm letting you off the hook is... food. Lots and lots of food!" I find myself choking on my laugh when I realize he's serious. I nod my head "Of course Fig.. I'm sorry." He "Huffs" and starts off to the kitchen. My smile grows as soon as he turns his back showing off his round little bum.

I don't deserve the little guy. He was so pure.. like a child. Something I will protect with everything I have... I say to myself in a silent vow . After fixing food for Fig and I we eat until we're full and we leave to look for Leon. It was already late and I skipped training yesterday so I really needed to find him.

After an hour of looking and not finding him I grow concerned. I couldn't find him yesterday either... I decide to look for Rune to see if he knows anything so I make my way to his office. The door is left open and I can hear a heated conversation. I find Rune and Leon arguing "You should let her make that decision! Don't think I haven't noticed the way you throw your weight around.." Leon says with venom.

"Throw my weight around? Tell me Vampire.. when have I ever had to throw my weight around with her? She does what she wants, how she wants and nothing I say or do can change that. Admit it! You're just pissed she chose me and not you." Rune says with a growl. I walk in and say "What the hell is going on!?"

Fig's little paw holds onto my ear but puffs up his little chest in show of support. Both of them continue to glare at each other completely ignoring me. I walk off to the side and decide I'm not leaving these two idiots alone. As soon as I step to the side I feel like something is wrong. Something in my gut was screaming out in warning.
