To Alex, these seemed likely totally normal rules and yet the phrase 'failure to do so will result in punishment', constantly being repeated made him feel like it was as if his life was on the line if he do not abide by these rules. There was something eerie about these rules, unsettling even. Engraving these rules into his memory, he swiftly checked over the letter to make sure he had not missed anything out.

"Alex, I made lunch now," old man croaked from downstairs.

"Coming."

After checking the parchment multiple times over he carefully inserted into rucksack before heading downstairs to join Matteo. Two BLT sandwiches, which had been carefully made, had been placed on the small coffee table in the living room. Matteo was sitting comfortably still in his chair sipping his tea like always.

"So, Alex what do you think about the school then?" Matteo inquired.

Alex looked up from his sandwich," based on the letter, it seems quite well off and has a good education system considering what you told me earlier about their alumni success."

"I see… that is good," Matteo faltered before whispering so quiet so that Alex would not hear," Alex, forgive this old man for what is about you to put you through... No I don't even care if you don't forgive; just understand that I didn't have a choice."

"Grandpa, did you say something?" Alex muffled voice was clogged by the food in his mouth.

Matteo looked at Alex with sad eyes before warmly smiling," No, no Alex, I did not say anything."

"I see."
