Qing Continent, year 4891 since The Great Qing Revolution.
In a huge circular shaped city surrounded by mountains whose peaks can't be seen, bustling people and countless strong cultivators were walking around and minding their everyday business.
The center of this giant city contained an array of castles, and at the center of this array there was a palace so majestic people would die happy to sleep there for one night.
Within this palace...
"ARRGHHHHH! IT HURTS! Are you sure its a human and not a boulder thats coming out?" Qing Li screamed as she tried her hardest to push her baby out.
"Qing'er he's almost out! Just a bit more!" Qing Su encouraged.
"WAHHHH!!"
"He's out! He's out!"
"Is it ugly? Should we have aborted?"
"Your Highness you shouldn't say that!" exclaimed the nurse.
"I'm just kidding ahaha."
"Ughhh... reincarnating still feels horrible the hundredth time I go through it. I wonder what type of family I'm born into this time?" Qing Yi thought to himself as he tried to open his baby eyes.
"What should we name him?" Qing Su asked.
"Didn't we name him Qing Yi? A name just as gentle as our personalities" Qing Li replied expressionlessly.
Qing Su "..."
The weird thing about Qing Yi's reincarnation was that he was born with the same name everytime, and cultivation techniques from one world rarely worked in another, as their cultivation systems were not the same. He did however, keep his experiences and some other skills such as his fighting prowess.
5 years later.
A bright looking youth with short blackish-silver hair was holding fragments of a broken pot in his hands. He was wearing a white robe made of silk lined with gold on the sides, with a huge golden 'qing' character on the back. For a child, this youth looked smarter and brighter than other kids of his age, and he was also slightly taller and more well built.
Being 5 years old, Qing Yi was finally old enough to start elementary cultivation. Since he was born, he had also come to learn that he was born into an extremely powerful family, with him being the next and only heir to the throne. The world he was born in was called The Great Hidden; and within this world he was born on the Qing Continent, named after his family.
Yes, he was heir to the throne to one of five great continents on The Great Hidden. And his father, Emperor Su, had been reigning the throne for over 600 years; being the 9th generation Emperor of the Qing continent, with the previous eight all going down in the books of history as highly influential figures.
Because of his background, Qing Yi had been eating treasured food plundered from the heavens since he was born, and he also didn't hesitate to shamelessly request for even better food from his parents, the Emperor and the Empress. On top of that, he was also a nightmare for all servants and maids living in the palace, as he often caused disasters where ever he went.
Kneeling in front of Qing Yi was what seemed like a man with dust and pottery fragments all over him, especially his head. This man was well proportioned and well built, any average person on the street would deem him as 'a strong person'.
"Young Master! This vase was created by Master Artificer Yang Qun! That's over 5 million times my net worth, don't use it to smash someone's head with it!" a maid standing by the side helplessly 'reprimanded' Qing Yi.
"Yes Young Master, please smash my head with a brick instead! This pot is too expensive!" the man whose head was covered in smashed pottery debris cried out. This 'strong looking' man turned out only to be a servant. All servants qualified for serving the royal Qing family were not weak in cultivation or had not had their fair share of fame in the outside world. But under 'Young Master' Qing Yi's rule, they were nothing but crab generals and shrimp soldiers.
The first time Qing Yi reincarnated, he had been born into an average family. He cultivated and lived life like any other person in his world, and he slowly grew to become a semi-influential figure a hundred years later with a dao companion he met when he was 250 years old. Together they braved through ups and downs, living the life of what seemed like bliss. Yet all because of an inconspicuous little treasure, his wife who he had been with for over a hundred years, killed him in cold blood.
In his second reincarnation, he was born into a wealthy family ruling over a small county with 7 other brothers and sisters. He was the eldest one, and treated everyone close to him with great care. Ever since his previous life's betrayal incident, he had only treated family as the closest ones to him. Yet little did he expect, the 7th brother, which he doted on the most, would also kill him in cold blood, all for the throne...
"If you asked... I would have given you the treasure... If you asked... I would have given you the throne..."
Through Qing Yi's one hundred lifetimes, 7 times out of 10 he was back-stabbed, and out of those he wasn't he would be killed by devious means such as poisoning. Hence, ever since Qing Yi's 100th reincarnation, his personality had taken a 180 degree turn from benevolent and forgiving into something like a devil, an unbelievably shameless and horrifying devil.
With his thousands of years of being deceived by the world, by the people, he gave up on being nice, and instead just did whatever he needed to do, to get what he wanted. He wanted to see if kind people would always be beneath those that schemed.
He was however diligent with his training. Even though Qing Yi couldn't cultivate at such a young age, everyday he had trained his muscles, fighting skills, knowledge, crafting, and many others. In his spare time he would torment the servants and maids in the palace, since his parents wouldn't let him out until he had 'grown up'.
"Young Master, today is your ceremonial day. Please try not to dirty your clothes..." the maid sighed as she patted the dust off Qing Yi's robes.
"Yes! Young Master, since you are over the age of 5 now, you can finally start cultivating!" the servant was secretly happy since he thought cultivating would take over most of Qing Yi's time, and hence he would suffer less torment for his days to come. This was definitely something worth informing his fellow servants about, something to celebrate over.
"Hmph. You're lucky I'm quite busy today." Qing Yi strolled off with a smirk on his face.
"Ahhh, life is so good being an as*hole... I wonder why I didn't do this from the start? Its SO satisfying..." Qing Yi thought to himself.
"Oh, and now that I'm five, this body of mine is finally able to start cultivation!"
Cultivation in the Great Hidden worked like this:
People can start cultivating at the age of 5, starting at the muscle building stage level 1, all the way to level 9.
After muscle building was foundation building, from low to peak.
After that is core formation, from bronze to gold.
Beyond that is essence stage, earth shaking stage, sky severing stage, and finally heaven exploding stage.
Because he was too young before, Qing Yi could only train his body like a mortal.
Today however, was his 5th birthday, and he was finally able to start cultivating.
