4 Elements Continent
In the palace, Qing Yi was strolling through as he arrived at the main hall. He saw his father, the Emperor and his mother, the Empress along with a few other trusted servants.
"Dad, mom." Qing Yi called out.
"Son, come sit." Qing Su gestured to a seat next to him.
"Dear, happy birthday." Qing Li gently brushed Qing Yi's hair.
"Thanks, mom" Qing Su looked back and said.
"Son, now that you are five years old you are finally able to start cultivating. We know you already understand a lot about cultivation and well learned in other occupations, so we won't be telling you much about that unless you want to ask." Qing Su slowly spoke.
"But we want to let you know of me and your mother's plans for you in the future, and what we've prepared. Being in such a wealthy family, your experiences will not be comparable to others who are not sheltered by their parents, and when you grow up you may easily be tricked by others and come by harm. So me and your mother have figured out a solution to let you grow without bounds." Qing Su continued.
"Sigh... little do they know I'm older than the both of them combined in terms of experience. Oh well, lets see what they've 'prepared' for me then." Qing Yi thought to himself.
"Yi'er, what do you know about the 4 Elements Continent?" Qing Li asked.
"The 4 Elements Continent is at the middle of the Great Hidden World, and is surround by the Earth, Fire, Wind and Qing continents on the South, West, North, and East respectively. The center of spin of the Great Hidden is where the capital of the 4 Elements Continent is located, Divine Elements City, which houses numerous cultivation experts. The 4 Elements Continent is rumoured to be the strongest of the 5 continents, but is not tyrannical over the others. Possibly because it is surrounded by the other continents, fearing a revolt, or they are too strong to even care about us, since the elemental energy is the most concentrated there. Ruling over the 4 Elements Continent is the Royal Hei family, standing strong with over 3000 years of history. On top of the royal family, there is also the 3 elemental sects, the Wind sect, the Earth sect, and the Fire sect. Which is united under the 4 Elements Union, nicknamed FEU, which is leaded by numerous strong experts." Qing Yi replied.
"Mm, I see you know a fair bit about the 4 Elements Continent, and there's no point going into further detail as that is not important. Just make sure you read a few more books to have greater understanding of the whole Great Hidden World, because knowledge is very important."
"But whats more important is what your mother and I have prepared for you. We have decided to send you to the 4 Elements Continent to gain experience. The bi-annual entrance examination for the 3 elemental sects is being held in 2 months and so you will be attending one of the 3 sects. Your mother and I will be staying in the Qing Continent to take care of affairs and will not be following you. Of course, we do have some people in the 4 Elements Continent but they will definitely be less influential than in the Qing Continent, so you should make sure to only offend and scheme other people lightly." Qing Su explained.
Qing Yi was quite perplexed about the last sentence his father said, but paid it no further heed.
"But obviously, before you leave we will be fully preparing your future cultivation, since the heir of the Qing Emperor must be one at least on par with the heavens." Qing Su said with some pride. Even the emperors of other continents would only say that as a joke, but Qing Su's tone seemed to have a hint of seriousness towards it.
"You will be cultivating the 'Qing technique' passed down from your ancestors only, but you may learn other battle skills from your sect. On top of that, we will be lowering your status not only to protect you, but to give you a more realistic experience in the outside world. So you will only be an heir to a country in the 4 Elements Continent." Qing Su added.
"Wow. Being an heir to country is called lowering my status? And how does the Qing family even own a country in a foreign continent? Ah well... either way I don't really care." Qing Yi thought to himself.
"Yi'er, you're going to be away for a long time so your dad and I might come by to visit sometimes and take a look at how much you've grown up. You can also visit us once you've acquired the ability to do so." Qing Li looked at Qing Yi with love.
"Li'er... the point of him leaving is to NOT see us... He needs to learn how to scheme and not to be schemed. He needs to grow up." Qing Su sternly said.
"Can't we teach him how to scheme instead? Can't we teach him how to suppress others? Hmph. If we call ourselves second in terms of shrewdness, who in the Great Hidden would dare to call themselves first?" Qing Li lightly murmured.
"What?" Qing Yi asked.
"Nothing dear." Qing Li smiled as she replied while Qing Su had a blackened face.
"Alright son, return to your room and prepare to leave for the 4 Elements Continent in a month. You will also be receiving the cultivation materials and special artifacts your mother and I prepared for you in advance from the servants." Qing Su said.
As Qing Yi left the main hall Qing Su looked towards Qing Li with a moody expression and was prepared to speak.
"What b*tch? What are you looking at? Am I that pretty you have to look at me like that?" Qing Li's expression suddenly turned despicable and scary while speaking to her husband, the Emperor. Contrary to what they usually show others, both their expressions turned for the worse in the split second they were alone...
