Our pace was steady and sure, though the fact that we're not fighting any monsters certainly felt weird. But we knew not to get used to it. We didn't see all the wolves die, rather for some reason they ran away, showing a surprising amount of intelligence rather than frenzied attacks they've been carrying out against us.

But all those aside, there was sense of excitement in the air, it didn't stem from fear, because honestly fear was an emotion vampires hardly felt. But it was from the anticipation of experience, of experiencing something new, different and exciting. of enjoying a really goo fight. When we got to the bend, the Canyon spread open into a wide field. It was green, an oasis, but its water was putrid green.
