Chapter 14: Attempt To Assassinate Bao

I was completely shocked to find out that my talent with the bow was actually high level and that I only had peak and perfect grade left then I could finally start my apprenticeship in bow and arrow and finally have a weapon I can use while fighting.

While I was standing on the tree using Aura control I suddenly saw the tiger who had ran away come back and he had a white tiger along with him which had the snow attribute and when I tried to sense it level I was unable to sense it which meant that it was above m realm and was most probably the most powerful beast that was at Qi refinement level 2.

I knew that this beast could kill me in an instance and there was no way that I could kill it and no escape for me as if I move it would engage in combat with me so I decided to make the first move and jumped of the tree and in mid air shot three arrow at the same time and while using time slow and then landed straight on my feet.

I started running for my life and then I jumped on to a tree branch and stayed on the most top part of the tree and while it was coming closer to the tree I started shooting arrows non stop and even missed a couple of times and by the looks of it I had manage to kill the other fire tiger and mange to injure this white tiger paw.

Soon the white tiger arrived at my tree and I still kept on shooting from the top of the tree and then the tiger started climbing the tree and I could feel death very close to me as I had just ran out of arrows and had nowhere to go and by the looks of the tiger he was gravely injured and could barely move up.

I jumped down few branches quite close to the tiger and tried to jump into another tree but the tiger used some skill and cut the tree and hit me with the paw and made me smash into a tree with blood coming out of my chest and then suddenly it pounced at me I tried to defend with the sword.

I then used my final energy points and used time slow for 2 seconds and stabbed the white tiger in the heart and then fell to the ground and could not move a muscle but could not find the arrow near me and then saw the white tiger die right in front of my eyes and then I took the beast core and stored it in the system trade feature.

I also started to read all the notification that I had got during the fight and found that I had increased several stats and was very close to breaking through to Muscle refinement level 2 as my stats were like this

The system continued to say that I would get points after I breakthrough " wisdom and intelligence increased when user jumped down and shot three arrows in mid air but as both intelligence and wisdom are at their limits they shall increase after the break through "

While I was ling on the ground helplessly without any strength a man appeared out of no where and then came and stood right next to me I recognized this man he was a member from my plateau who gave me weird looks and would stare at me randomly.

I thought the man was just passing by and saw me and came to help me but it was the very opposite the moment he reached me and he looked at me he started to laugh like a crazy scientist and then after laughing he said " Oh look what has happen to the young master Bao. He is about to die of bleeding well let me ease your pain "and then this lunatic swung his sword but I somehow manage to block it.

Then I ordered the system to use how many ever cores it needed to get me the mist optimal pill to heal myself and in a time that takes to burn an instance stick I got a pill out of my pocket and ate it and then came back to my full strength.

Not only that I found that I just broke through after eating that pill and then suddenly I had overwhelming power surging through my veins while I had already sensed that this man was at Muscle refinement level 6 and my small power up in his eyes did not matter but he later regretted underestimating me.

As we started fighting it was clear that the opponent did not have some sort of talent in swordsmanship but he started to use his bow after I overwhelmed him with my sword I did get short in the knee and in the stomach but the rest I defended with my sword and while he was backing up I rushed at him with time slow.

He shot 4 arrows at me while I used my time slow while rushing at his arrow were so slow that I could see them coming and I side stepped 2 arrows while I defended one and then deflected the other which went and hit his chest and then I rushed at him with my sword giving him a deep cut at his throat

I broke the red arrow which signaled the captain of the danger and then the man tried to flee but I cracked his bag open and all his beast core fell on the ground and then within few seconds the captain Qiao arrived and saw me in a sorry state with a bunch of arrow everywhere.
