Chapter 15: Continuing to climb till Ice Lake

After the fight against that assassin I completely fainted and fell on the ground and then captain Qiao arrived he took me back to base camp and called the rest 5 people back to camp as the beast hunt was over and soon enough the 4 people reported back and 1 went missing.

I woke up when Colonel Han through water at my face after removing all the arrows from my body I felt quite weak and felt as if I could barely move and then Captain Qiao and Colonel Han demanded an explanation so I narrated the story from the beginning to the end with slight changes.

Those changes were that I was not gravely injured after fighting the Qi refinement beast but was injured and then was attacked by this man and then I broke through healing myself in the process and then somehow manage to win against this man who used bow and was very bad with the sword.

After hearing this I bet you should have looked at their angry and surprised faces they could hardly believe that a kid who had basically zero battle experience manage to win against a Qi refinement level 6 monster and then he not only was not near his death but even fought against a cultivator higher level than him and almost mange to win and nearly killed him.

After few days I finally completely recovered with the help of the healer and then when I finally got up and circulated my Qi I felt extremely stronger and I realize I had already had a breakthrough and then I checked my stats

Soon after the explanation remembered how he drank that potion that made him feel overwhelmingly strong and he felt like a brand new body was given to him but he still felt sad as not only was he not able to hunt a lot of monsters but also ended up using the qi refinement monster core for a potion to safe his life.

After some time the crew started their expedition again and this time their next stop was at the middle of the mount at a place called Ice lake it was a place were there is suppose to be a spirit fountain which helps in ones cultivation and give them spiritual essences.

The territory where this cultivation fountain was located was called Ice Lake as the entire region was completely covered with ice and the entire place was frozen there was only a fountain in the middle of the entire region and this fountain gave off a strong Yin energy and was especially useful for those who cultivated in Yin martial arts.

Also I forgot to tell you guys after I reached Muscle refinement stage I had to start cultivating a technique to continue my cultivation which I took from the library it called Roaring Dragon doesn't that sound cool and when I saw the book I was so happy as it was excatly what I needed and this cultivation technique cultivated in both Yin and Yang.

While we were climbing to the upper half of the mountain it already became night so we decided to set our tents up on this plateau that we had located while climbing as it was not steep and was also quite solid ground.

It just felt like Antarctica while in this cold night we were all not allowed to wear any extra dresses and were told to circulate our energy around our body through out the night so that our body could become hot.

Well it was not mandatory as some rich soldiers had bought a heating pill with them as I saw this pill my eyes were filled with glitter and were shining like the sun but unfortunately no one gave me a pill and when I asked Colonel Han for one he told me to shut up and go back to sleep.

The next day while we were sleeping Captain Qiao explored the site and found out something tragic which he reported to Colonel Han and left the Colonel in disbelief and shock and as soon as Colonel confirmed the situation he headed with his microphone and announced.

That as the Spiritual Fountain had depleted there was no spiritual energy to absorb and left all of us so shocked that no one even dared to utter a word and then he lead us to the place where the fountain was located and all there was left was an empty river line which was completely dry.

While everybody gave up their hope and blankly stared at the dried river path way I found a crack in the floor which was highly impossible unless it was done by a human as this region was a cold region where even if u crack open a hole in the place the river would just freeze again in few days which meant that this whole was made recently.

Then I thought of a possibility that what if someone had purposely directed the water of the spiritual spring some where else.
