Chapter 16: Finding the culprit - Last

As soon as Bao decided that he would investigate this matter he remembered something that he had forgotten and that was that he had completed the 2nd quest but had yet to see the reward from it and then asked the system "where is my quest reward and why have I not revived it yet??"

The system replied "The host was in emergency situation so the system had to shut down the quest menu and now that the host has healed completely I shall reopen the quest menu and shall give the host his rewards"

Then he soon heard a new notification "Congratulation for completing the quest and as reward we have decided to unlock a new feature in the system known as Surveillance mapping and this feature can be activated from the home page"

Bao then asked the system about the feature and it explanation and then the system started to explain few important things to Bao like "This feature surveillance mapping can be used to find people enemy and foe nearby and can also detect assassins and find out if host is being followed as of now the limit of detection is spread for 1000 meters in each direction"

When Bao heard this he felt sad as that meant that this feature might be helpful for now but in the long run when Bao was strong enough to defend for himself this feature would almost turn useless and that this feature was mainly useful only when fighting against a large scale of enemies like in wars.

As the system was inside Bao head it understood the worry of the host and its master and told him about a "trade secret"(Reading too many novels reference to number one dungeon supplier) and this trade secret that the system told him got him very excited and that was"The system would upgrade to the next level known as Bank System level where the system allowed the host to upgrade any skills"

Then when Bao asked how he could upgrade the system the system replied "saying that with time the host shall known"

Only little did I known that the system upgrade was the biggest prank that the author would play on me it was an upgrade in which the system gained a new feature known as loan and it would force me to take loans every time a quest appeared and mostly eat away all my system points and annoying me to the very core and if I refuse to take the loan for some reason things would become to difficult like the author was angry at me for not taking the loan.

Little head back to my past self (also if you are new just reference sake this story is narrated by Bao about his past life after becoming a god like existence)

Then suddenly something clicked Bao and then he asked the system if he could find the location of various objects using the brand new feature of Surveillance mapping and to which the system told Bao that "he would have to touch a drop of spiritual water and store it inside the system and then the system could find it remains"

He then bent down and notice that there were few droplets in the small crack that he had noticed before and then touched them and then asked the system to scan for any source related to the water and then suddenly a map of the area appeared right in his face.

He then noticed that there was a red mark in the map and came to a realization that this red mark was were the water was located but he found it quite far so he asked the system to zoom in and then the system told Bao "that the map could be zoomed in like any other map that Bao had encountered in his previous life meaning that the mapping features was like a phone navigation system "

Bao then asked the system about the location of this mark and the system gave him an exact estimated answer saying that " 100 km to north" but when Bao heard this his face became pale

and gloomy as it was 100 km away and all he could do was walk on foot.

While Bao was in his trench Colonel Han just looked at him with anger as he thought Bao was not paying any heed to the announcement made just a few seconds ago and then after the speech Colonel Han personally came down from the stage while all the other people gazes were on the Colonel, he woke Bao up from his trench.

Bao when felt a hand on his shoulder he looked up to only be surprise to see the Colonel soon realize the situation and just walked away from the crowd towards the base camp and was followed by all the others and then spend a quite night planing all his actions for the next day.
