Start of the Journey

The father told Drake that he would arrange warriors and other people like the cook, for the Journey.

The place that Drake is heading to is Red Valley, the name is from an earth that has a reddish color.

Along the journey, there will be quite a few dangerous places like monster attacks or bandits.

Drake will take with him some books about monsters and warrior training. The journey will take one and a half or two years, depending on how fast we travel.

Drake discovered substantially from the books, and some of them were really valuable to him.

He learned that a wizard can't have a weak body because the pressure might kill him when chanting a spell. The pressure itself isn't from the spell but the energy that Mage is absorbing into his body.

The energy is also called mana, it is a type of energy that is from nature that's why we can chant spells. The word mana means "power", "effectiveness", and "prestige".

He also learned that there are many elements but in classical thought, the four elements are Earth, Water, Air, and Fire.

However, there are also Darkness, Shadow, Light, Energy itself, Electricity, Lightning, Ice, Plant.

"I wonder which department I will join."

The next day came and Drake woke up. He looked out the window and saw the big Carriages with horses.

Men were packing stuff up inside the carriages.

Then out of nowhere, his eyes blurred, he held his head with a hand and then he saw some lights in front of him when he looked at some objects and static sound in his ear after a while it stopped.

He didn't think about it too much and just ignored it.

"I probably just didn't sleep well"

He thought that it was just a minor thing not worth mentioning but he was wrong, extremely wrong because it will change his life or rather it will make his life easier.

"I am now fourteen years old when I get there, I'll be sixteen."

After getting out of bed, Drake went to the commander-in-chief and asked.

"How much time do you need?"

A muscular man, two meters tall, said: "We're almost ready, Sir, we still need around 5-10 minutes."

His name was Preston Harrison, the other people in the group are men that guarded Castellan.

The place itself was on the hill and there was a moat around the castle. It had wooden pillars around it and also towers.

There were two entrances one was through the bridge that was very small and it could be passed only by one horse.

When you went inside you could see that there were houses and in one of the houses there was a store, in front, you could buy their milk, cheese, even cards for playing games.

When you turned left you could see a well and there was also a gate, it could be opened by your hands easily but for a child, it was impossible because they were a little too heavy for them.

About the second way in or out is to go to the cave nearby and there should be an underwater cave system that would go to the well and from the well, you could get into the castle.

Drake went inside the room where the father was and said goodbye to each other.

"Remember, to write me letters"-Said with a smile.

"To say the truth I didn't have any connection to my father. So to him, my leaving was heartbreaking, but I am not his child, I ... had devoured him(To be precise his soul).

So leaving was the best option.

I also got loads of money from him, it's better to save it. From the book, I have read mages are using tones of money for experiments.

Even though I have memories from his past and that I don't remember my real past I don't feel anything towards him. "-Drake though

After some time the carriages started to leave the place.

Inside the carriage was Drake.

"What is happening!?"

His eyes again blurred like last time and this sound like the rustling of the leaves was also there.

I felt sick, weak and the sound was truly soul-tearing.

After some time it stopped and he straightened up.

Drake with relief on his face looked out the window and he could see further than earlier and with greater accuracy.

He didn't expect that and was amazed by his eyesight.

After some time a robotic voice said in my mind:

[initializing complete]

[Scanning System ... System working perfectly.]

[Display user statistics?]

I thought about it for a moment and said "Yes"

I was shocked and didn't know what to say more than that.

Then, my hologram appeared in front of me.

[There is no information in the database. Error. Cannot display the request.]

I didn't know what word unknown meant exactly but if you don't know something you ask.

"System what do you mean by the unknown?"

He asked with name: system because it said initializing system so it was worth trying that.

"System doesn't have enough information in the database and is unable to give a proper answer to display statistics."

Drake didn't know what to do next, so he started to experiment and after a long time, there was still no result, he put more effort into it and didn't give up.

Drake went to the cook.

"Do you have any fruit ?"-I asked

"We have only these from the forest that we got on the way, Young Master"

"Ok you can give them to me"

"All of it ?"

"Yes"

Drake went back to my carriage with a bag full of odd fruit.

He picked one fruit, it looked like dragon fruit on earth. He cut it in half and started eating what's inside.

Then an alarm rang in my head and the robotic voice sounded as if it had entered my ear and said:

[Danger!]

[The object is poisonous]

"I had it in my mouth, I didn't chew. Did the robotic voice analyze the fruit somehow?

That must be the case!"

"The system analyzes the bodies of warriors for me and shows me their stats under their heads."

After a while the system said:

"Scanning is finished"

Drake looked at one of the warriors; his name was Preston Harrison; that information was also under his head.
