Big City

It was dark, late at night.

When Drake looked at the window he saw the fog outside.

After he finished his training, he decided to relax. He looked at the books from the cave that were lying on the table.

He picked one, titled "Shadow Magic", and he started reading.

The book was not thick.

The color was gray and it gave off an aura of mystery.

Drake thought for a while and gave the command:

"System record the book and analyze it."

He resumed his reading.

Time slowly passed and after finishing the book a notification was shown:

[Analyzing will take 5 days]

Drake was excited and started reading other works as well. The information was stored and analyzed later.

The names of the books were the following: "Blood", "History of Vampires ", "Book of Illusions" and "Basics of Dark Magic."

In the book titled "Blood", there were some basic vampire spells that mainly used blood for incantation.

On the other hand the book "History of Vampires " told the story of "Holy War." There was a dispute between Vampires and Humans. In previous words, Human is a general term because the people fighting with vampires were mainly the ones that believed in the teachings of the church. They were usually priests and holy warriors. To become a holy warrior the person needed to be a believer as well as hard working. Of course, talent played a huge role.

The outcome of the war was that the Vampires became a fallen race and the church became the new hegemony of the empire. After the conflict, the voice of the church couldn't be opposed, even the emperor needed to reconsider when making a decision. Besides, if the emperor opposes the pope it would depend on the situation. If it was a small matter, the church would turn a blind eye on it, but if it was a large one the church would use force.

About the "Book of Illusions," it was similar to the "Blood" book. It taught the vampire methods of using magic to cast illusions. It was written that the vampire methods were better than the ones that humans used. That's why the mortals were called inferior by vampires.

Furthermore, humans couldn't use the spells that vampires used, but vampires could use human techniques.

The next day, Drake looked into the horizon and saw a massive wall.

It was one of the bigger cities on their route.

"We will stay here for a while and take a rest"- Drake thought.

Soon they entered the city and went to an average looking tavern and took some rooms.

Around evening Drake went to the bartender, he sat on a hocker chair and asked :

"What do you have to drink?"

"Beer with honey, quite a lot of people like it in the area, it's only 50 copper coins"

"I'll take it."

"Do you sell any information ?"

"What do you need to know ?"

"Do you know anything regarding Vampires ?"- I said low.

"There's not a lot of news, but a large majority of them were killed during the war and some may still live among

us,"

"Do mages kill them ?"

"No, usually priests do this with holy warriors."

"I see..., thanks for the information"

Drake threw a silver coin and went upstairs. He knocked on the first door to the right. The doors opened and he saw Preston's face.

The bartender took the coin with a smile, and the smile was a large one because the sum was no small.

The fifty copper coins that he gained as a tip went straight into his pocket.

"I will be going out around for a few days, don't panic when I will be off"

"Ok, we will be waiting for the young master here"

"What should we do in the meantime ?"

"Have a rest."

"I will do the same"- Drake added.

He gave them enough money so they could live for months.

Then Drake went to his room and picked up his robe and left.

It was very dark Drake left the city and went to the nearby forest.

Before going in he checked if no one was following him.

When he went really deep, he looked around again to check and he didn't find anyone.

Then he put his hand inside his robe's hidden pocket.

He took out a bottle, shook it a few times and the content was flowing like normal blood and what shocked Drake was exactly that because it should already be solidified.

He opened the bottle and drank it all in one gulp.

Soon, the clouds began to gather and then the thunder rained down on the ground. Not long after that, the shadows started to rotate around Drake like a tornado.

Inside the tornado, there was no thunder and no clouds only darkness.

Shortly after, Drake got dizzy and fell on the ground.

Ten days later around a lake, his body was lying his face pale and his eyes crimson like his hair.

He stood up and looked in his robe, gave a loud dark laugh, he clenched his fist and could feel the power flowing in his veins. He started running and his speed was very fast. He jumped at the tree nearby and jumped at the other one. He was doing that from excitement for a while and stopped.

"Finally the feeling of being weak faded away"

"At least I am more powerful than mortal's"

The transformation changed Drake, and not only was he pale, but his character also changed.

It was the same as before in the other world.

And it could be described with one word.

HOSTILE!

He went towards the village close to the city.

On the way he checked his stats:

"System, show me my stats"

"Re-scanning... changing data..."

After checking his statistics, he was already in front of the house. He went to the door and knocked. The door was almost broken from his uncontrollable strength. After a few seconds, a middle-aged man opened the door.

"Hello, my name is Drake Van Hyden, may I enter ?" I said.

"Who are you?"- said the man suspiciously, but after looking at the state of the man before him.

"What happened? Why do you look as if something bad happened to you?"

Drake looked at himself and realized that his clothes were dirty and his body was extremely pale, especially his face that he couldn't see at the moment.

"Bandits attacked me when I was heading to the city"-Drake said with an expression that to the man looked sad, but if someone else saw his expression he would say that it was devoid of that.

And if an actor was here he would say that he was acting, and it looked honest.

Also, the man thought that the young one in front of him was no threat, that's why he didn't suspect Drake was a vampire.

Mu ha ha ha ha. Drake laughed in his mind but also had a smile on his face after analyzing the situation really fast.

He went inside and sat down with him at the table.

Drake could feel the thirst.

"Blood"

"Blood!"

"BLOOD!"

This word couldn't give him a second to think about anything else.

He bit his tongue and blood started to flow out.

In a matter of a second, he came back to himself.

"Do you live solely?"- Drake asked.

"No, I have a wife, she is outside in the shed, we store inside the straw and other things."

Then Drake started to think about how to easily kill him without no one noticing.

"System do I have any Vampire abilities ?"

"Scanning..."

"One ability found- Vampire's Seduction- this power allows conscious people to be fed upon.

The spell can be used once per day. (Bloodline Ability)"

"System automatically show me with a green dot if I can use this power on someone and red if I cant, the dots show close to naming"

After he was done setting things up which was a matter of seconds, he put his hand in front of the man and said in his mind "Vampire's Seduction!".

A tiny light ball went into the prey's body.

Drake stood up, went to him and held his neck with hands. He opened his mouth and two spiky and sharp teeth showed themselves, they quickly pierced into his throat.

The unexpected was that the blood wasn't oozing at all instead it was absorbed that fast by him that it didn't even have a chance to.

When Drake had his full and felt satisfaction. He put his head back and look up appearing intoxicated with the "meal" it was also because he felt getting stronger. Then his appearance started to change to a more alluring and beautiful.

He brushed the blood on his lips with hand and left the house.

"System show me my statistics"
