Setting Out

The Bearded Lady approval went smoothly as they set up an appointment where they would meet and when. Him and the leader of the group will meet up at the Aurelian Plaza between the Gladiator Combat Arena and the Alley of Flowers. A rather normal spot between a place of total slaughter and carnage, while the other is filled with brothels with women who sell their body.

He would meet them on the 10th which was just a while ahead in which Bai Li could continue cultivating more drops. He had luckily managed to increase his willpower and soul capacity to exhaust enough energy to produce two drops on the last two days. In total as of now he had a total of 11 drops counting the one he produced before he made the appointment.

Those 12 drops was his strength he could produce, he could expend them to increase his power output with rapid succession with the amount. The moment Bai Li managed to produce 2 drops, many people heard of it, some people couldn't even begin to produce anything with their unprepared minds. Khu Bei took noticed of this and prepared something.

A knock appeared on Bai Li's door.

He thought it would be the courier to give him the green ticket on his card to allow entry in the city as well as an armband. The armband could monitor his growth, identify monster grades with different colors, and his heart rate.

But his jaws opened when he opened it.

Indeed it was the courier with the fact that the man was holding the box which was his package. But the man holding the box was Khu Bei himself.

"May I come in?"

"Of course, Master Khu."

He went to the side to let Master Khu in, in which his first time in the room, he noticed the wall was torn down, but he didn't say anything.

"What brings you here, Senior?"

"Nothing much, I have heard you managed to produce two drops on the 6th day after learning it."

"Indeed I have, what of it?"

"May I check?"

"Of course." Khu Bei was being awfully nice to the student in front of him. Even he had a talent of finding unpolished gems and even though Zhao Fei managed to do the day beforehand, it was taken as natural with his family filled with resources for that matter. But Bai Li did it all by himself without the help of anything.

Khu Bei reached out his hand to reach for Bai Li's hand and grasped it tightly, using his soul to read the droplets. The intake of the soul roused up the soul force which improved much of it.

Though Khu Bei's pool was a puddle, it allowed much quicker time to naturally refine it to condensed soul energy.

It had masked his soul signature and vitalized his now glowing Sea of Conscious. The pool of the sea yearned for more droplets after receiving the intent of the dean's energy.

But no matter what, Bai Li knew he wouldn't notice much. Only talented people could see the full extent of talented people. Though Khu Bei had refined and honed his skills, the talent puddle could barely read the vast size of the receiving end. At most, they could only feel that it was either lower than his, same as his, or bigger than his.

"Hm, indeed you have. Congratulations, you will definitely be one of geniuses looked up upon their peers. You have talents kid."

He smirked and let out a dry cough.

"I took the job as the courier so I shall complete my task, here is your armband. The armband has the function to act as a GPS and an emergency button so we can begin tracking you and getting you back to safety. But wait, there's more!"

"Not only that, you will also be able to determine the rank of any creature by its soul power if you point at the beast within a 150 feet radius. All monster soul power measurements will be grey if ordinary, orange for abnormal, blue for primordial, and yellow for Saint. This can be used to measure your opponent's power so make sure you are careful. But wait, there's more!"

"Not only that, the band is also flexible and used soul steel, metal received from scrapped remnants of fragmented soul weapons and armor, it has excellent affinity if you were to wear soul armor!"

He began talking like a machine as he rambled on the purpose and the perks, advertising the armband as if it were an infomercial. After half an hour of nonstop talking and refraining himself from interrupting him with due respect.

After finishing the entree of the city was much more easy as it was just a glowing stamp, in which was palced on his card, which explains his entry.

"These are everything you need for us to monitor your safety in the wild."

He smiled and began standing back up from his stance after sitting to pull the items out the box.

"Oh yeah! I almost forgot."

Khu Bei pulled out a rather old sword with simple design.

"This was the first sword I ever used when I arrived here at the First Gate, it definitely has some sentimental values, I hope you can use it as I did when I first ventured here. I was contemplating giving it to Wei Tao, but he already had a weapon prepared. I heard from the reports you had nothing at your disposal. Here"

The sword was unidentifiable of either a casual sword nor a dagger. It held the same stance and standard hilt of a short sword but the blade itself was rather small for any average blade.

He thought it was perfect, though odd, since he certainly did favor swords and daggers as his main choice of weaponry.

"Don't let it break without meaning, I have to go now, hope you survive, kid."

He rubbed his nose and exitted the doors.

That was his first time receiving something extra and for a man who recognized his talents so far!

He happily began packing essentials of some dry ration and canteen filled to the brim with water. A fire kit as well as an emergency set of combat suit and rope.

He packed much more but those were the one's that were most prominent.

He headed off to the main gate of the enclosed space of the academy with large steps.

He looked back at the beautiful landscape when first entering and reminisced.

'Goodbye for now Academy, I shall venture the new world myself!"
